This will be ugly...Bad timing as its on ABC on a Sunday. A lot of people will be watching & Brenda will run up the score.
I have a business in which myself and tens of employees are constantly flying. Obviously case by case can be different but in general terms flights of less than 3 hours a couple of days after suffering a concussion is considered to carry virtually no risk. Not sure where Uconn flies from but flight time from Hartford to DC is a little over an hour. Why in the world would Nika be flying if in concussion protocol?!? Makes no sense.
His daughter confirmed.Until it's confirmed, can we please stop speculating about Geno and his mom?
Geno, CD and the rest of the staff would never put Nika in any danger. Given she has flown they would have been 100% confident that she was ok to do so.I have a business in which myself and tens of employees are constantly flying. And let's be honest, what we fans "learn" from the coach when it comes to time out due to an injury should be taken with a grain of salt. He owes us nothing.Let the BY "Medical Professionals Speculation Machine" start rolling. Or at least those who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
None of us know the extent or Nika's injury, Dorka's injury, or Azzi's injury. None of us have seen the test results, examined the patient or done anything but speculate.

It’s December 11th and UConn’s ninth gameThe NET rankings are not a national popularity contest.
They are officially used for the NCAAT brackets & are based on a math formula.
And if UConn loses the NET's would reflect an away record of 0-2.
It also creates a reflection for the national audience which includes young BB prospects who may not even have a favorite WCBB team yet, and they're looking for one to root for.
They won't want to buy merchandise for a team that they perceive as losing too often.
Or maybe even choose not to play for UConn if recruited.
UConn's winning history is only as meaningful as their short memory beginning from 7 days ago on ABC.
As far as the players psyche, if they begin to believe that they can't win without certain players, then that can be like having a jinx placed on them.
They're only young adults and even among the BY fan base, many don't believe that UConn can go far without certain players being healthy.
Even Geno may not have made up his mind yet about how far UConn can go.
I guess we'll see how the team plays today and reacts going forward based on today's game results.
The game could be more important then is currently realized.
UConn has a team bus. It’s a 6 hour trip to Baltimore. I know the team took a bus to Philadelphia a few years agoWhy in the world would Nika be flying if in concussion protocol?!? Makes no sense.
Did the Xfinity Center replace Cole Field House?
The only college basketball game that I have been at was a MBB game when Villanova lost to MD at Cole Field House in the 84-85 season. Villanova went on to win the NC.
Thanks for the info and link.
Somebody has way to much time on their hands. It’s a just college basketball game in the month of December. Everything will work it’s self out.The NET rankings are not a national popularity contest.
