Very excited about tomorrow's game vs two great teams. You guys are obviously favored but maryland has a sneaky talented team this year. Terps have more length on almost every position but uconn has a big backcourt and quickness edge. Terps rebound very well even after losing len. Will be interesting to see if dez wells and roddy peters handle your pressure. A couple notes on our players:

1- Dez wells - strong, great finisher, automatic on the break. Team leader
2- nick faust - big and talented but often makes bonehead plays/off balance shots.
3-Jake layman - great hair, big coming out yr for the sophomore. 6'9 and likes the 3
4-Evan smotrycz - very solid all around flex 4
5-shaq cleare, - center, is a big big boy, he will not be pushed around. but he also doesnt provide any offense.
backup 4/5 - Charles Mitchell - 6'6 but rebounding machine. Will avg double double if he gets the minutes.
backup 1 - Roddy peters - 5 star frosh pg. first Big test for him. 6'4 and loves to run. crafty

Look forward to a close and well played game! If you have any questions I'm happy to answer! Don't feed the hogie after midnight!

7 or 8 , depends on fouls. Roddy peters and Charles Mitchell definitely off bench. 50% graham gets in (4th big), 25% Varun ram comes in (3rd pg)

Also, sg nick Faust has Baltimore swagger which is going to either hurt uconn or hurt maryland. He's like a box of chocolates.....

Sounds like Ryan Boatright, although he's a junior now and the extra year of maturity should help.

Thanks for visiting........should be fun. Sounds like a nice team which should make it a solid game start to finish. If we rebound the ball and take care of it too I'm thinking we're okay but it should be very interesting for both teams moving forward!! Like our guard play a lot in this one and as long as they shoot the ball good and take care of it as I expect we need to close this game. Our depth is real damn good and the fact your starting PG is not available with the new rules will hurt......fun game to watch glad you chimed in!!

Classy post. Looking forward to the start of what should be a great season. Bummed Seth Allen got hurt. Always want to play a team at their best and the PG position is a critical one when you're playing against our guards. This is the deepest, most veteran team we've had since the 2009-10 season. We still have several players from 2011 National Championship. Napier and Boatright are fierce. They refuse to lose games even when the box score at the end of the night, particularly in the rebounding margin and second chance points, says we should have lost badly.

But honestly it is not Maryland's length that worries me, its your waist sizes. Cleare and Mitchell have some serious girth and I'm worried we'll get pushed around in the paint. That being said, most of the national media believes Olander will be the starter and he may very well be, but don't be surprised if Philip Nolan and Amidah Brimah play more minutes at the 5. Nolan has grown in size and ability from his freshman to sophomore year and Amidah Brimah may wind up to be another Hasheem Thabeet in the making - he's not nearly as raw as most of us thought he was when he committed and is a devastating shot blocker.

I'd wish you good luck tomorrow if you weren't rooting for Maryland, but you are ... so I won't. Instead I'll say ... enjoy the game.

Welcome. Thank you for the breakdown of your Terps as well as the classy post. Just like you, we can't wait for the season to begin. Best of luck.

Layman is from Wrentham, ma. Family of D-1 athletes. Outstanding lettuce. It's hypnotic. Kid can play as well.
