On certain songs I really love Bob Dylan's voice - like this one:


Glad you posted this - there are a lot of voices out there that no one would call 'great', but they carry so much more than just the tune. One of my favorites is:

Exactly - a particular voice, say on a particular song, can have impact you can't help but notice. A good example I think is Mick Jagger on "Moonlight Mile". I don't think he has a "great" voice by any definition, but his voice for the Stones fits in perfectly, and he sings M.M. with such conviction and beauty:

This is the one Dylan song I enjoy hearing him sing. Otherwise I don't like his voice.

If you are mentioning Isaac Hayes, you got to mention Barry White. Both of them are on this song together with a cameo of Ray Parker at the end of the video.
