purdue is in OT against the creighton-killers, nebraska. path is opening up for uconn #1 if both houston and purdue go down.
Houston going on a run. Showing they deserve number one.purdue is in OT against the creighton-killers, nebraska. path is opening up for uconn #1 if both houston and purdue go down.
How has Sampson outcoached Hurley head to head?Sampson's a good coach. IMHO, he's outcoached Hurley head to head. I figured Oates would have his guys ready for this, but Bama just keeps turning it over. Someone's got to take charge, and it sure isn't Quinerly.
It’s almost like we’ve forgotten the brilliant win over Houston at Gampel before COVID hitHow has Sampson outcoached Hurley head to head?
Are you penalizing Hurley for losing to Houston when he took over a dumpster fire?
I can't give you specifics, but it had more to do with in-game tactics and adjustments than it does the rosters. I simply recall Hurley being outcoached. The one game DH won was when Vital was on his unconscious run.How has Sampson outcoached Hurley head to head?

Sampson is a great coach. He outcoaches everyone. That last game against Houston in 2020 before the Covid shutdown was a great win for uconn thoughSampson's a good coach. I'm still saddened that the Christian Vital Farewell Tour didn't conclude with a postseason tourney. He deserved one of those.Sampson is a great coach. He outcoaches everyone. That last game against Houston in 2020 before the Covid shutdown was a great win for uconn though
Well you convinced me!I can't give you specifics, but it had more to do with in-game tactics and adjustments than it does the rosters. I simply recall Hurley being outcoached.
Yes. That will always bug me as a UConn fanI'm still saddened that the Christian Vital Farewell Tour didn't conclude with a postseason tourney. He deserved one of those.
From our times in AAC I remember the empty Houston gym and no crowds.Great crowd and environment for this game.
Yeah, just a casual fan who can't recall specific coaching moves from 4-5 years ago.Well you convinced me!

And I won't even bring up Josh ;-)
Nothing against Quinerly, but Bama looks much better w/o him.I’ve always liked Quinerly, he was lightning quick, but he’s coming off an ACL ( his second?) just last March. He is having a rough go adjusting to not having that first step any longer. Kinda sad.
Houston is very good. But for having the second ranked defense, they sure let Bama generate good looks again and again down the stretch...This is the first time I've seen Houston play this season. They are a lot better than I thought they were. I knew they were good defensively but I thought Alabama would be able to pull away earlier with their scoring. Roll Tide!
