Who is the all-time leading scorer in Big East men's basketball

Big East freshman of the year

3x all Big East

2x All American

Here’s three………

1) Name the MLB player holds the record for the most RBI’s in a season (191) and the player who had the 2nd most (185) in a season?

2) Who hit 58 HR’s in 1938?

3) Who had a batting average of 364, hit 58 HR’s and had 169 RBI’s in 1932.

No fair Googling
I won’t cheat. Hack Wilson has the rbi record. Gehrig was close, at 180 plus, so I’ll take him.
2) must be Jimmie fox
3) has to be Ruth, Gehrig never hit 50 hrs

I think the RBI single season champ is Hack Wilson. Not sure about #2.

Not sure about 1938.

I think the 1932 slugger is Jimmie Foxx.
Was number 2 Joe Carter? I thought he had done crazy rbi year for some reason.

If you gave me 50 guesses I wouldn’t have gotten that one. But for good reason. UConn wasn’t in the Big East for any of his career.

You’re warm, here’s one for extra credit……..

How deep was the right field line at the old Yankee stadium.

I know one was Cobb losing to Hornsby by a fraction.
partial credit - in 1922, Cobb hit .401 but George Sisler hit .420. in 1911, Shoeless Joe Jackson hit .408 but Cobb hit .419.

Correct

….

Nope, but you were very close

Whoa... Totally wild guess but I'll say Mays and Ruth. And Ruth only because he was an idiotic baserunner and would have attempted to steal home far too many times.
I saw Mantle steal home in the early 60’s. If he could do it, bad knees and all, you’d think Ruth could’ve done it ten times, especially if it was during his earlier and more athletic years.

Name the the 6 teams in the four major men's sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL) who share a name.

The first UConn player from Hamden selected in the first round in two major sports. Note: He’s also the first ever regardless of school or town. I don’t know if there is anyone after him that also has that honor.

Here is a more challenging one: name the three 1975 Red Sox who share last names with towns in MA. One of them also owns another major league distinction as a “last to” what?

Walt Dropo?
