I'm thinking that the planned presentation day next June might have lessened any sense of urgency.

Don't take that the wrong way, it's a fantastic idea. I'm already lining up sponsors and I am even planning on getting into shape (somewhat) for the event. Just that perhaps some folks are thinking that they can take their time putting the funds together.

If you are thinking about getting funds together as Waquoit suggests, it takes a whole half minute to donate and there's nothing that says you can't go back and do it again. So go ahead and dump in what you have now and then do it again later. Hell, put yourself on a payment plan if that's what it takes.
