OT: Giants Cowboys

Teams that tank rarely get better. Cincy may, because Burrow got hurt and so did Mixon. Can see them making a jump.

As for the draft, how many guys in the first round are better than DK Metcalf taken at #64? The two best TE in football were taken in the 3rd and 5th round. Unless you need a QB picking high in the first you should probably trade down. Those high first round picks also hurt your salary cap, making 2-3x the guys later in the 1st.

Ya but you gotta know who to pick in the 3-5 rounds...it’s a TAD easier in the top 10. But point taken.

I’m just thankful every day that Josh Allen, who I was a bit worried about early w/ QB PTSD, is a legitimate MVP candidate. And I love this entire Bills team, if this year didn’t happen during covid and we went to these games, it would have been the most fun season in history. It’s already up there.

This is what happens when you need to rely on a team who has nothing to play for. Giants had plenty of chances the last month to control their own destiny.
And not just that - any of the teams in this division have nothing coming to them. Heck you go 8-8 or worse and a playoff berth is a gift. That any team can go 6-10 and make the postseason is amazing. Washington stinks too and they can’t even put away a team who is almost trying to lose! 😂

He owes nothing to the Giants but he owes everything to his team and he just lost the locker room. Everyone else in the NFL was trying to win, this should be the final nail in his coffin and I hope he gets fired.

I’m a Green Bay fan but my dad and all my boys are Giants fans so I feel for you guys- I’ve never seen a situation in all my years watching football where in the middle of a competitive game, late , on national TV , between two division rivals with the game carrying so much weight playoff wise , the up-and-coming young starter is pulled for a pointless back up for absolutely no reason. That was 100% Philly sticking it to the Giants - they “wanted to give Sudfeld some work to see what he brings to the table?” could be the funniest thing I’ve heard all year. What an absolute b——move by the Eagles.

Wonder if having no fans present made it easier for Pederson to pull this stunt.

No watching. What did he do?

This is definitely better for the Giants long term. But Doug Pederson just lost the respect of every player in that locker room
All he did was embarrass himself, he's done.

Basically turned it into a preseason game in the 4th quarter when they were only down 3.

Pulled Jalen Hurts - wasn’t having the greatest game but did score both touchdowns - and put in Nate Sudfeld. Sudfeld went 5/12 for 32 yards with an interception and fumble but Pederson kept him in.

The Eagles D almost overcame the idiocy of Pedersen, he is a disgrace. What are you going to learn about a career 3rd string qb that hasn't played in 2 years, what a jackass. Pedersen owed the Giants nothing but purposely losing is pathetic, the Eagles were winning that game with Hurts in the 4th qtr no question imo.

WFT only has one win against a team with a winning record and they’re playing a home playoff game against the Bucs lol

Best result for the Giants. Go out winners over a rival and still get the #11 pick. Tampa would have blown them out. And will now probably blow out Washington.

And they were the “best” team in the division! 😂😂

Oh no, he lost the respect of a 4-11-1 team whatever will he do, he might get fired and immediately hired by 10 teams

Ok Giants, no excuse. Fire the GM please. 4 straight 10+ loss seasons, first time in their history. Have standards.

sadly, they probably did enough this year to save him. If they could can Gettleman and make the next guy keep Judge I’d be thrilled.

The writer totally forgot about Richie Springs.

Dude have you ever played a sport competitively? Lol. That is embarrassing. If they were down 3 TDs so what. But have a little pride.

Why would a coach that sees his team playing well and having a great chance of winning a game quit on his players in the 4th quarter?

The 3rd string qb hadn't taken a snap in 2 years and his future is non existent. Those might have been the 4 worst series by a qb all season...sad disp!ay.

How could they possibly have done enough? They had literally the easiest division in league history and still went 6-10. The best QB in the division was Andy Dalton. Gentleman's top 10 drafted QB of the future sucks too much to be called that now and whose most memorable highlight from the season was falling down. His drafting of a RB in the top 2 continues to look like an incredible waste of draft capital. They won 2 games outside of the division all year, 1 against the Bengals with a backup QB and in neither game did the Giants get to 20 points.

Considering the team captain came out 2 weeks ago and spoke about how all the players want to play to win every game he should care. The shine has not worn off Pederson, people realized he's not a good coach this year
