First game that Reed frustrated you?

People are not watching this team close enough. Reed has been underwhelming almost all of the new year.

Reibe should not play over Reed you people are loons. Have you forgotten the stretch of games where he completely disappeared? Reed isn’t perfect but we don’t win it all without him coming close to his ceiling. Gotta dance with the one you brought.

Karaban is a great player who messes up in very high pressure situations sometimes. Stop having him inbound the ball.

Mullins has not figured out how to play within the flow of this offense. He is a weapon and better than I thought on defense but if I watched these games without knowing who he isn’t I wouldn’t tab him as a first rounder.

I don’t think this team has a national championship ceiling. I don’t know who you’d turn to if you need one bucket out of nothing in a tight game. I think - I know - Silas is the guy, but I’m not sure he or the team does, if that makes sense.

I dont know. There is something about non-con games that look good on us. We looked better against Florida in the tourney than we did against a lot of big east teams last year. Also, I know teams grow or weaken during the course of the year but this is still 90% the same team that had a top 3 early season non-con performance. I think any game we played against those teams would be tight all the way and I think many would agree with this in spite of themselves. If we get to the sweet 16 nobody will want to see us.

I'm throwing in the towel on the bench. At this point in the year, it would be an angle Hurley was using with intention to make our team better. Instead he's dialing off it, especially in close games. I think Gtown's bench outscored ours tonight by 30+ to around 10. We are 280th in the country in bench points. Our bench is not a strength, it's in fact a weakness.

It's like the stages of grief and the final stage of it, which is acceptance. Anything from the bench is considered a bonus. I always show support to the bench players, like a Jaylin Stewart, but I am not expecting much out of them. The bench is not only a not a strength, but like RuffRuff said, it's a weakness.

UConn will likely not have to play them until the round of 8 earliest if both teams make it that far. At that point whatever happens happens.

The offense flows better with Reibe because he can step out and defenses have to react to that.

Our offense with Reed is dump it to him ala 2021-2022 Adama and try to get a gross 2. The scout is out on Reed and we need to adapt.

The narrative on this team won't be written until March. In this soft as porridge BE, I'm not sure how much many of us care other than the StJ rivalry and how it prepares us for the Dance.

The narrative Hurley will face is: can he win without Donovan Clingan? Can he win in March with a team that isn't that much more talented than other teams?

Right now, I'd say the hope is F4. It would be nice to get into the third weekend and that banner. I think if Hurley gets that far, it'll be considered an achievement. The expectation is the Elite 8.

Not likely until the F4, maybe the NC. By the time we face them, I think our run would have already been considered a success, so not worried about them. They could always get knocked off, not one is unbeatable. There are other teams that can beat us well before then.

No, the narrative on Hurley is not whether he can or can’t win without Clingan (who played a whopping 13 MPG during the first title season). It’s that he saved this program from the abyss, won back to back titles, and is already a HOF coach
