Malachi has been really rough lately, like debatably unplayable rough. I didn’t get to watch this one but seems like it was the case today as well.
I thought he was fine in the first half. He didn't play too much, the bench isn't scoring lately.Malachi has been really rough lately, like debatably unplayable rough. I didn’t get to watch this one but seems like it was the case today as well.
Dan reads the chat. Who knew?
Or that he didn’t foul anyoneHe had zero fouls which tells me he was resting a bit on the defensive end.
Gtown prob has a bigger endowment than half of the BE combined. Are you an alum?1. This "wealthiest alumni base" is a misomer. Attorneys and politicians make good money but there are very, very few seven, eight and nine figure donors in that cohort.
2. Georgeotwn has to deal with $100 million in cuts in FY2026 from losses in federal research grants. At some point athletic budgets are going to get cut and men's basketball has been running at a loss for years.
3. Georgetown does pay for football but at a lower level than most--its FY25 budget was $3.6 million. Ironically, its football alumni give more back as a percentage of giving than do basketball alumni and this helps cover operating expenses.
It’s not their best shot that’s causing issues. It’s our SHOOTING. AK & Solo 1-11 on 3sAs expected, every team is going to give us their best shot - thankfully the Huskies have answered every time. I gotta think we'll push through conference play and roll out those A caliber games when they matter most at the end of the season.
You're so right about AK. It's insane the minutes he plays and how he can never do wrong in Hurley's eyes even in games where he's playing like cheeks.Obviously not a great performance. Solo 0-5 and AK 1-6 from 3, we just can’t have that and be good. Hurley has to get over having Alex on the court at all times. 35 minutes is way too much. He had zero fouls which tells me he was resting a bit on the defensive end. I’d rather 28 full effort minutes. I’m not going to worry too much but the trend is concerning.
And Solo less.Demary needs to shoot more. That's all i got out of this one.
Benched as in come off of the bench. Not sure how you got the idea of not playing him. That's a crazy thing to say. These overreactions provide nothing constructive. Bench him and then what? Start him? Give him 10 minutes off the bench?
Certainly you can offer a suggestion that Stewart could start and Solo helps provide an offensive punch off the bench but not playing him for a couple of games? Nah.
I thought he played great D as he really hassled Gtown's PGs. He was alright running the offense but took too many shots. I do not think he got a minute in the 2nd half correct?Malachi has been really rough lately, like debatably unplayable rough. I didn’t get to watch this one but seems like it was the case today as well.
It just seems like a big change in his quickness/attacking from last year in the handful of games I watched of Dayton. I know that’s not the basis of our offense but he is far too often a black hole of dribbling nowhereI thought he was fine in the first half. He didn't play too much, the bench isn't scoring lately.
No it won’t. Iowa state just lost its 2nd game this week.Yes, I’m extremely glad we won. This may prevent us from moving to #2 though.
Hopefully coaches pull a rabbit outbid the hat like they did with moving Jax to the dunkers spot. Is that next for solo? After the first two minutes seems they forgot how to play.
At times I think we forget as a team how dominant Reed is being and try to a fault to get other guys going.
Also too many times guy ball watching and not attacking the glass.
Too many threes not enough attacking and cutting to the basket for easy points.
Late game free throws from AK, Ball, and Mullins yikes. Ironically Reed was money today after struggling at SH
That being said a win is a win. Even in the 23 championships season we struggled with gtown at home.
And that has nothing to do with us moving up to #2 on Monday. No it won’t. Iowa state just lost its 2nd game this week.
while the overall effort was bad, they did handle the press well and only had 6 TOs for the game. When they were struggling to score in second half Ball drove to rim and got to the FT line and scored sme much needed points for UConn. They also keep their composure when other teams go on runs.100% agree…..too many people on this board focused on the outcome, not the trend. This trend is very disturbing.
So better to have a 27% 3 pt shooter as your SG? How are Ross or Stewart worse?UConn will go nowhere without Solo on his game! Give me a break with this Ross crap!
Uhhh, that has quite a bit to do with us moving to number two since that’s currently occupied by Iowa State? And that has nothing to do with us moving up to #2 on Monday.
YesGtown prob has a bigger endowment than half of the BE combined. Are you an alum?
We were obviously already moving to #2 with a win over Georgetown today after Iowa State got throttled by Kansas.Uhhhj, that has quite a bit to do with us moving to number two since that’s currently occupied by Iowa State?
YES YES always doom and gloom. The Boneyard, where winning feels like losing
Hence why he said “second game this week.”We were obviously already moving to #2 with a win over Georgetown today after Iowa State got throttled by Kansas.
couple of bourbons will help you forget.Losses do not trigger me. Missing free throws and being out hustle trigger the s— out of me. 7 missed FT’s to end the game is dog s——-. The defensive effort the last 5 minutes was dog s—-. I didn’t enjoy watching this game and watching UConn is one my favorite things to do. I will do my best to forget about having watched this peace of garbage efffort.
Yes, losing today has nothing to do with why they are dropping out of the #2 spot on Monday and why UConn is moving into it.Hence why he said “second game this week.”
