Yeah, it may well be what Geno was referring to, but the other poster said it came from a specific thread, which, based upon the quote you provided seemed pretty benign except for two borderline comments

Holy semantics. You don’t get it. It doesn’t matter the medium or the thread. We have a lot of jerks who cross the line. That’s what Geno said. If you disagree with that you’re willfully ignorant.

Like I said above, I avoided this board after Creighton because I didn't want to read that stuff and I knew that there would be a lot of it because after a frustrating loss many people feel the need to vent. I don't post stuff like that but I also don't go around calling people by name for it. You're going to go after Fishy and suggest that's who Geno was talking about because he said the team stunk? That’s what I’m talking about. Did anyone think they didn’t stink that night?? Hurley did.

But we are supposed to tiptoe around it for fear of the players reading social media?? Give me a break. Like it or not, CBB is a business now. If you don’t perform, you’re gonna hear about it.

But again, besides a couple morons that maybe crossed the line, the VAST majority were just venting. Or doing exactly what their own coach did.

Hell, even Hurley acknowledged that going after the fans was a mistake. And we certainly as hell don’t need our WOMENS coach wandering over and putting his 2 cents in. Puhlease

14K laughable. That’s what they sold there were tons of empty sections and even in the lower sections. Geno doesn’t have to sell seats but where are the women’s fans for every game not just the name teams, ranked teams? Mind his own, don’t care what he thinks about the men’s fans unless it’s positive. In this together. The crowd was loud and did all they could against Creighton, the team laid an egg you’re going to hear about it.

Huh? Georgetown is 13-15. Getting 14,000 into Hartford for that game is incredible

Like I said Nan it was not 14k I saw the game there were 11 maybe 12K at it the Peoples. And why is that great I thought the fans should go to all of them not just Michigan and Tennessee?

Whatever, key is Geno should worry about his own that’s all. It was a bad look period. Over stepped his bounds.

So, your defense of fans that go overboard with vitriol towards the men’s team (as differentiated from normal criticism) is to attack the attendance at a women’s game versus the 8th best Big East team. Right.

How bout this….keep discussion about the women’s team to the women’s board and the men’s team to the men’s board. And we don’t need the women’s coach commenting on the men’s team. He has not earned that right.

Again, I say….,do you think there is a chance in hell he makes that comment if JC is the coach?? No, there’s not. And Dan Hurley should tell him to stay in his lane as well.

Is he gonna talk about the hockey or football teams next???

No, you jumped in after another poster talked about a specific thread. You then posted evidence of supposed quotes from that thread. Two of them came from names I didn't recognize and when I asked you about them, you said well, they weren't really on that thread they were on Instagram, but it doesn't matter.

So relax and maybe, oh I don't know, stop calling other people will fully ignorant and dumb? It's kind of ironic to be complaining about a supposed lack of civility when you're the person stooping calling names.

Geno is likely responding to the lunatic fringe of mens bb fans who react in a bipolar way to wins and losses. I guarantee he’s not referring to what was posted here on the boneyard after the Creighton game.

Geno’s mistake in his rant is that he unwisely smeared all men’s basketball fans, instead of specifying the lunatic fringe that he might’ve been reading posts of on social media.

Yet you're the person calling people names, which, I think we can agree is just bad manners. On top of that, you're getting in these little hissy fits with multiple posters.
