Geno calls out men's team fans for reaction after Creighton loss

Yet you're the person calling people names, which, I think we can agree is just bad manners. On top of that, you're getting in these little hissy fits with multiple posters. Maybe if you find yourself getting so angry that you feel the need to call names you should just take a break from the Internet?
Guess you think those screenshots are okay Senior!

Not a good look. This fanbase has been very loyal and knowledgeable. Frankly, it shoulders the bulk of the financial burden of supporting the program, which enables the staffs of both teams to be paid handsomely. We don’t have Tyson Foods or Walmart backing up the brinks truck to keep the programs swimming in cash. Geno needs to think about that before he speaks.
I dont know but i remember getting tickets to games being readily available and for cheap before the winning started and lets just say it wasnt exactly a packed house. I think the majority of people ive come across here that are regulars are legit but there are a lot of fans out there that are exactly what coach Geno is talking about. I think if his comment kind of rubs you the wrong way then hes not talking about you but youre making the mistake in assuming all fans are as loyal as you may be and i hate to say it but many are not.

What planet do some of you people live on?

Were you the one who said Sanon was “killing us” the other night in a game they could have won by 50?
Me? Players on the other team are allowed to try to do well and succeed. That is not forbidden.

.-.
And that is a perfectly fine and reasonable and even accurate comment.

That's not what's being discussed. And I think you know that.
I do. But there has been a lot of arrogant lectures accusing the fans of "wrong fanning" of late. As if Danny Hurley is in position play judge others for reacting poorly to negative things.

I reacted to the performance against Creighton by turning the game off and listening to Angine de Poitrine's busy, upbeat, engaging performance on KEXP. I felt this was the perfect distraction, but who is to say if Danny and Geno find that a proper way to react to the limp performance by our boys? Perhaps I, too, am wrong fanning. I mean, ignoring their existence for a bit is certainly not providing the positive affirmations that Geno seems to want.

So in about two weeks, we’ve had Cooley and Hurley scold the fanbase for not turning out enough or getting excited and it made national news and quite frankly was embarassing where the telecast sideline reporter had to bring it up the next game.

Now we have Geno scolding the fan base for going overboard with social media comments. If it hasnt already im sure it will get out there soon on espn or what not.

Who is next in the lineup? Lets keep this going another couple of weeks since its so much fun. Maybe Penders and Cavanaugh next week. When the Big East tourney starts lets have all the BE coaches take their shots - a true round robin of pot shots can fly.

It’s one thing if people are coming up to the players and start talking about how their scholarship should be pulled because they suck but it’s another if you’re on social media and you see it:
By now, people should be smart enough to know their are certain places you don’t go after losses - such as the comments sections of these stupid apps, or the boneyard.
