Throw one of them to Bridgeport and really spread the love. It’s so simple and obvious and easy and even just about everyone on the BY agrees on it.
Hence, zero shot of ever happening.

I always said Mohegan. WITH bets available.Throw one of them to Bridgeport and really spread the love.
Or that!I always said Mohegan. WITH bets available.

I honestly don’t know if meaningful renovations are possible within the existing structure. I suspect they are not. But as fishy correctly, points out, even if it were there really isn’t a justification for the additional investment. Both, if XL can finally move forward with the renovations and stop kicking the can down the road!

That would bring the Johnny fans in when the Red Storm visits…but do we want them in our back yard?Throw one of them to Bridgeport and really spread the love.
The noise seems to reverb better in Gamble. Size and architecture make a difference.I wonder what a decibel meter would read, would Gampel or Hartford be louder?
How many games does nova play per year at wells Fargo?i like both. villanova has the same dilemma but it’s more straightforward. big brand opponents play wells fargo and the rest in whatever pavilion on the main line. i don’t get how uconn decides where high profile games are played.
Would actually be pretty cool for the states to get together and run some kind of special for Johnny fans. That would bring the Johnny fans in when the Red Storm visits…but do we want them in our back yard?
Wells-Fargo games: UConn, Creighton, Providence, Oklahoma, Seton HallHow many games does nova play per year at wells Fargo?
Five, the year before Covid they played seven games at Wells Fargo. I think the Covid year they didn't play any games there. They tend to play their biggest marquee matchups at Wells Fargo. How many games does nova play per year at wells Fargo?
Good point! That would bring the Johnny fans in when the Red Storm visits…but do we want them in our back yard?
"the states"? St John's is a private school.Would actually be pretty cool for the states to get together and run some kind of special for Johnny fans.
I meant to set up a fan ferry, but you’re right that might open up a can of worms I guess."the states"? St John's is a private school.
You've got the right idea. Replacement for Gampel should be next to Dairy Bar, with a huge garage, and a casino. If the state won't allow a casino then build condos and another bar and restaurant area next to it. Host concerts in it. Eventually build a new football stadium nearby. Expand 195 to two lanes all the way to 84 and into Willimantic. Turn Storrs into a proper college town and people will want to go there.I always said Mohegan. WITH bets available.
Unfortunately the Mansfield natives will kill that in no time, like they did the initial stadium proposal. You've got the right idea. Hartford. There is 5,000 more people.I wonder what a decibel meter would read, would Gampel or Hartford be louder?
We just played arguably our best game of the year in Hartford. And one of the worst halves vs. Xavier and Georgetown at Gampel. Bad game in Hartford vs. St John’s too. It doesn’t matter where we play.Gampel is better for students and players. They play better there, and the crowd is better. However, for alumni, and indoctrination of young kids as life long fans Hartford is better. Playing in Hartford expands the fan base, keeps alumni actively attending games.
Imagine the BY’s reaction if UConn put all marquee games at XL.Wells-Fargo games: UConn, Creighton, Providence, Oklahoma, Seton Hall
Finneran: La Salle, Delaware St., Penn, DePaul, GTown, St. John’s, Marquette, Butler, Xavier
