Joey needs a sidekick. We should try an in-game DJ. We could call him Joey.

I liked his response. That's respect.View attachment 82474
I love everything about this exchange!
Love you brother. Respect!You wish
The technology already exists. They used to bring this contraption out at XL games during the marquee Old Big East games (Syracuse, etc)Preach. That would be an excellent engineering class project. What are we doing!?
I've heard those things have caused injuries and insurance companies don't want them at games. No lie.
They were running the flags around during the cupcake games. Maybe someone forgot to bring them last night.I can take him or leave him, but bring back the wave. Bring back the gigantic flag running laps on the court during a timeout. Just don’t try to get us to sing Taylor Swift songs like PeeCee
DJ Joey Franchise was even cheesier than Connor. We've improved our cheese game in the las 12 yearsWe should try an in-game DJ. We could call him Joey.
They wouldn’t wear the shirtsI don’t care about Connor. He’s fine and doing his job.
I care more that UConn can’t get it’s pre-game fire cannons to work correctly and the student body has no clue what they’re doing. It’s sloppy.
These kids want t shirts - give the crowd a massive amount of t shirts.
I'm crazier than you at Gample AND XL. You blow.

What happened to every student with season tix getting the same shirt? I remember the one with Jim Calhoun’s face on it from 2010. Lost mine somewhere along the way. They wouldn’t wear the shirts
I had to implore my (Uconn ticket) section to stand, and then half of them didnt and then yelled at me for imploring them.It shouldnt be but it was necessary for me to do last march against Nova at BET at MSG. I was disgusted by the fact I had to implore my (Uconn ticket) section to stand, and then half of them didnt and then yelled at me for imploring them. Times have changed I guess.
We need better millennial entertainment and screw our teams traditions. I was VERY disappointed in UConn MSG behavior in March. Nova had better turnout, louder, and more engaged.
I have no issues with him as a person but anytime he wants to come to my seats I’ll gladly tell him how much I hate UConn’s in game entertainment.I hope Conor doesn’t pay attention to the cranky bozos on this board. He does an excellent job in his role and represents the university well. I literally have no idea what possible issue you could have with him that warrants some of the reactions in this thread. I’ve probably witnessed 50+ games in my life with Conor as the host between UConn and the Yard Goats and he does great. Some of the promos are corny, but that’s not remotely Conor’s fault. He has some funny quips too.
Any Conor haters can go pound sand. Why don’t you go tell it to his face rather than trash him on a message board. I’ve never once heard anyone complain about him in person.

Seems to me the whole thing with Connor and how we organize game day and where we place students etc. caters much more to old fans than young. Hate to break it to you but Connor isn’t for the younger fans.
Really? We’re trashing gamedayconnor? Saturday needs to hurry up…
LOL, as long, as we are critiquing, who would utilize their first post in the middle of an epic season, to creates thread to talk about a hype man? It was completely predictable that it would generate negative comments.Really? We’re trashing gamedayconnor? Saturday needs to hurry up…
The pregame intro video this year is pretty meh. I think the video content itself is fine but the song doesn’t really get the crowd amped.Need a solid UConn hype video to play before the game and maybe during timeouts
I don’t need to be entertained , I understand many do. I’m there to watch the team play basketball. Except for red panda. When red panda is there I’m all in.
I do like how he does that sound effect with the microphone though -I think when he stretches out the names (Dannnnnnnnnn Huuuuuuuurrrrrrrlllllleeeeeeyyyy) it kind of kills the noise people are making. I mean you can't hoot holler and whistle for that long. By the time he's done with the dang name everyone has just about run out of noise.
The other complaint I have is: can they spare the T-shirts and hats? I mean you have a better chance of winning Lotto.
On the subject of entertainment, who remembers those big blowup things where the guy inside the blowup would turn upside down and hop around? Weirdest thing ever.
Basically, yep. He’s fine. Cheerleaders are fine. Dance team is fine. Shooting tee shirts at people is fine. Everything is fine. I don’t pay any attention to any of it.
But Red Panda is overrated. She’s there for the easily amused - they can replace her with a dog chasing frisbees or a free throw shooting contest or 15 minutes of dead silence. All the same to me.

She performed a bunch in 2014 before we went on a run.
Also performed mid-last year during the Marquette game, which helped turn the season around.
You're in the extreme minority here.Don’t care.
She’s one of those things that you have to pretend to like because everyone else seems to.
