I’m not expecting any of them to come back but you never know. Henny will likely be a first rounder in the draft = gone. Saxton, a potential 2nd rounder but even if she doesn’t make a WNBA roster I could see international pro ball in her future. Littleton would be coming back for her SIXTH year in 22-23, what exactly is she proving at this point.. especially with our youth at guard. Wesolek would be coming back for her 5th year and I still don’t see her making a significant contribution to the roster either with Amihere and Feagin still being there. Hence, all are likely gone.

If this season goes as expected I think 1-2 will stick around for their Covid year. I agree that Henderson and Saxton are more than likely gone. The only hypothetical reason I could think that they would want to stay would be to win a championship (if we get close to winning it all again...).

Depending on their degrees/masters efforts I could see Wesolek and Littleton staying to finish their degrees while on scholarship. I personally feel that Littleton will end up transferring to another program to get play time during her Covid year of exemption and trying to get drafted.

I've been thinking a lot about this. Our upcoming juniors haven't had a consistent off-season. Freshman year is just grabbing the dragon by its tail and not letting go. Then in the off-season all those freshman flaws get some much needed attention. I wonder how much was lost due to Covid and how much will be gained this off-season now that we're back to "normal".

This is all to say that I think we notice changes much earlier in the season because the players had resources this off-season that were not available to them last off-season.

I can’t wait to see mouths hit the floor when spectators actually see how good this SC class is! I was shopping downtown at Publix and I ran across Coach Law in an aisle and I had to ask her thoughts on this years team. She stopped and looked and said “the sky’s the limit and maybe even beyond that”… I think people are severely sleeping on Sania Feagin and Saniya Rivers. Feagin will wake a lot of people up when she plays for the U19 squad and Rivers personally has said she wants to win NFOY and I definitely think she can. She’s seen the hype around all these other players but no one is talking about her coming into college. She’s going to be the next her and I can’t wait to see it!

Yeah, I'm keeping my mouth closed on making projections for our season. I hope the USC vs. UConn game will be as electric as we all hope it to be. I could see this upcoming few years of the rivalry turning into a 30 for 30 some day...

Then Feagin started to get some notice with her offensive skills from the 4. Then Hall started to get some notice when I realized how tall she was and how good she was at shooting the 3. Every time I research these players, they always impress. I can't wait to see them on gameday!

UConn won by a point, in overtime, in Stoors, when Carolina missed a put back that would have won the game.

I have the slightest edge towards UConn, based on offensive balance, but I'm not sure that's right.

the last two times out UConn has barely broken 50 in regulation so I'm not sure South Carolina adding scoring isn't a more impactful improvement.

* the Magic Johnson Lakers vs Utah Jazz reference is an odd one, but I guess technically valid and pertinent if you didn't watch the NBA in the 90s. Though Showtime vs Jazz is just awkward. That wasn't really a thing?

not sure Hall is a particularly good three point shooter, but the class is great and it is tough to pick a favorite from the other three.
