I found it interesting that Feagin got the starting nod over Amihere in the absence of Saxton.
I think with the issue of both Johnson and Fletcher not playing, there was a need for support at the PG position, and despite Cooke being slotted to cover, Amihere had as much if not more experience of playing the point as Cooke had last season, when Henderson had a leg injury and Johnson was already out with her ACL. So why play what could end up playing the majority at Point, at the Power Forward position too?
As it is, Laeticia held up her end of the deal by tying Cooper for the lead in assists for the exhibition with 6, in 5 fewer minutes of action. Also had 11 pts and 6 rebounds, so not a too bad effort from her in the game, by any measure. Until the PG position gets more solidified with both Johnson and Fletcher, I feel Staley will keep LA close by to give support there, before she totally lets her go play at Forward, since that's a position where we are NOT thin in depth........
