Ball control, scoring, and a disciplined back 7.

The option does not come from behind very well.

Ball control for UConn doesn't necessarily mean run the ball, JDL style, either. It mean string multiple first downs together and keep the clock moving.
Dominate possession, or at least prevent them from doing it, HCJM is already thinking that way.

Yes, but Mora has mentioned that he has assistants that have both coached it and coached against it. I had heard enough.

Those Road Show glasses did not hold up to repeated washings.
I went for 100 myself last weekend when in NJ. I think I may add once I cross the NY border on my way to the game.

A beautiful afternoon would include what the Commanders did to Philadelphia this past Monday Night. Stay ahead of the chains and convert 3rd and shorts with a dominant run game.

Agree of all the statistical categories in the win over Liberty in which they dominated the box score time of possession stood out for UConn. That and the final score of course.
I do realize we recovered a fumble for a score and Houston had a 98.7 QBR completing a 7yd pass. ;)

If Freeze doesn't make that silly 4th down call, we probably don't win. The only game in our win streak in which we haven't had a turn over advantage. We're not built for track meets; has to be complementary football and mistake free.

I know, I know, it's just an interview and coaches always do their best to keep their teams on an even keel, BUT hopefully Army plays us with the same level of emotion shown by their Coach in this press conference.............

Hit the QB enough and they will turn the ball over. Edsall was passive versus the option and it killed is. Be aggressive. Beat up the QB. His decision making and physical ability will diminish if we make him pay.
Ding, ding, ding!!!!!!!

I’ve experienced in my betting history that when spread looks really stupid (like this one) just stay away.

If it were UConn -2 I would bet UConn to win outright. But with this screwy +10 means Vegas knows something.

The line makes sense if you use the quant models. Using Sagarin:

Army: 64.64
UConn: 57.90

Difference = 6.74

Add 3 for home team = 9.74

So, based on Sagarin, Army should be a 9.74 point favorite at home.

Bottom line, you are betting that the quant models are wrong and are underestimating UConn.
