This loss is on the lines. The OL was awful and the DL didn't get any pressure by itself. Holding Carder to 18-34 isn't awful and the offense showed some pop starting in the middle of the 2nd quarter, but it wasn't meant to be.

Western Michigan is not a good team. I wouldn't be surprised to see UMass beat them if Carder is out of commission for a while.

Because we were lethargic and not ready to play. The coaches failed to motivate the team like they got the players up for Maryland and North Carolina State.

Yeah, I don't buy that it is all on the coaches either. The team came out with no passion or pride today. They sleepwalked through the first 35 minutes, had multiple penalties that were not of the hustle variety, dropped passes, missed blitz pickups, etc. Those things are on the players.
