We're seeing a lot of top 10 freshman doing incredibly well this year.

But that's rare.

Mullins was a top 20 freshman.

I'd argue that for the vast majority of freshman in that 5-25 range, it takes a year or them to become forces in college.

We have seen this over and over and over at UConn.

Ray Allen, Caron Butler, Rip Hamilton, Rudy Gay, Kemba Walker, Jeremy Lamb... Jordan Hawkins.

Braylon could vastly improve with another year, especially since he missed the first 10 games of the season when the coaches had largely installed the sets for the offense.

All of the players above became forces in their second year.

I know many of them like Ray Allen played well in their first year but they made 4 shots a game and played for about 20 minutes.
