USA and Aussies in the same group. If the Aussie U19s are as competitive as
their senior team, that's a tough draw.

You may be over estimating the ability of BY eyes to resolve bold black from bold purple. :(

This is a list of players that accepted an invitation to try out- we do not know for sure that Caroline was not extended an invitation.

Paige should be the PG starter if she does not have the surgery. Then UConn will have 3 starters ...

Good read & reasoning.
  • I have not seen that much of Feagin on tape recently to know if she'd start. Do you think she's that much better/advanced than Angel Reese?
  • Based on what I saw of Arizona in the NCAA Tourney, I think of Lauren Ware as a center, but I don't think it will make a difference in the end run.
  • Obviously a bunch of talent at the PG and SG postions.

@DaBball wrote in the General Basketball area that he thought he saw an earlier list of Maddy Westbeld on this invitee list. If true, I guess maybe something came up along the way? Too bad, I think if she made the team, she could've added to the squad.

It will be interesting to see if the team offense and minutes allotment allow her to average almost 20 shots and 10 3s a game as she does at Iowa.

Paige is not eligible for the U-19 team.

Don’t you have to be 18 or under on January 1st. Paige turned 19 in October.

So Uconn is going to go with only two players? For the record, I am 100% kidding, but for a legendary program built on the total team concept, I am continually amazed at the obsession of the individual with much of the fan base.

Amazing how loaded the PG spot is. I think Reese makes the team over DeBerry, too.
 
Are they allowing the uninvited to pay their own way or is Covid keeping the tryouts to invited only?

The only age group USA basketball allows uninvited player is U16 that has always been the rule/practice.
