From what I have seen/understand, she is more of an EDD than a Stewart. Stewart is a solid (34%) three-point shooter but it sounds like KLS is an elite three-point shooter. Also, from the clips I have seen, she doesn't seem to be quite as quick as Stewart. More like Delle Donne in that she makes up for it with positioning/length.

Regardless, pretty good comps to be debating between.

Does anybody remember the one play that Strother made where she put the ball behind her back driving lay-up...just in case you forgot here it is: LINK
I do remember that play. I also remember that Strother spent a lot of time out on the perimeter. I'm not in any way trashing Strother here; what I'm saying is that from what I've seen and heard, KLS has more ability to post up or take contact, which improves her versatility and makes the Strother comparison not quite right.

So in 2015, the roster could include:
Morgan Tuck
Breanna Stewart
Moriah Jefferson
Katie Lou Samuelson
Napheesa Collier
De'Janae Boykin
Gabby Williams
Sadie Edwards
Kia Nurse
Courtney Ekmark
Natalie Butler
Tierney Lawlor
Brianna Pulido
Saniya Chong

OH MY!

You can stop at any time!

Thats a fair analysis of her play. I will say one thing about all of the Samuelson girls is that they are always ready to get off a shot without waiting, thinking, moving. Ball in hands, ball out of hands, ball in basket.

WOW!!! WOW!!! and WOW! Here we go UCONN...Here we go!!! Here we go UCONN ...Here we go.:p:rolleyes::rolleyes::):):):):p:D:)!!!!!
Okay watching this video I have one thing to say about her outside shooting.
I know it is sort of a highlight video, but please tell me,isn't that the female Larry Bird?
It has been a long time since I saw anyone who shoots like Bird did,and Lou sure impresses me with the Bird-type release and ease.

Lou will only get better, under Connecticut's coaching staff.

In the golden years, which I am part of,are supposed to get better with age. Thanks to Connecticut women's basketball, they sure are!

So are you guys out of scholarships now? Pretty please. :)

Not quite, even if the walk-ons both get schollies, but Geno might decide not to go further so that he's not accu8sed of inflicting cruel and unusual punishment on WCBB.

I am not going to post the url, because her singing makes me gag, but as Miley Cyrus said; (or so I seem to remember having heard that she said) "We can't stop now!"

Didn't Russ Davis also coach KML? If KLS is better than KML, we just got a really, really good player.

Of all the comparisons, I think Lou's game is closest to Elena's. Her shooting prowess is almost identical.

How many elite players from California have we gotten? Diana Taurasi, Charde Houston, KML, and now KLS? Anybody else? Lauren Engeln wasn't an elite recruit, but she's from Cali too.

So does this mean the rotation goes beyond 6?

Haha, not necessarily! People will still need to earn playing time in practicee. If only a handful do, that would be unfortunate but nonetheless so be it.

No, KML never played for Davis of Cal Swish. She played for Tennessee Flight.

That was enough to give a UConn fan the heebie-jeebies right there. But she emerged unsullied, although another team in the state was among her seven college finalists.

Wow...congrats you all!!! I can only imagine the team Geno will put on the floor in 2015!!! Very jealous right now ! :-/ lol KLS and Ekmark could easily go 1-2 in the country in 3 point field goal %...this class is simply amazing right now....hats off...Ms. Durr...your turn young lady....Tenn hopefully...it'll only be fair lol
I like your post doesn't mean I agree with you. ;)

I remember Geno made a comment his show about recruiting and this generation of players not wanting to sit, everyone of these players will have to earn it in practice some of this generation of players are caught up in the rankings and being the talk of social media BUT when they get to college they have a tough time adjusting and struggles to find there place, Uconn's practices will break some players, the 2014's will be battling for positions and playing time, someone is going to be a backup, Chong will have to compete with Nurse and Edwards for PT next season same for BB and so on, some of this new generation of players have never been challenged or played at the high AAU level I don't put a lot of stock in high school ball, but I do enjoy reading the comments on the BY its very entertaining I have seen and evaluated a lot of these girls and have a good grasp of there talents and can't wait for next season to start and then 2015/16 and beyond

I think Geno is finish recruiting 2015, if Durr wants to come he'll take her

This is a really big get for us. This class is going to be pretty incredible...

(I guess they don't really care about playing in the AAC )
She's the one I wanted the most.

She's not the next Stewie. She's the first Lou.

In terms of comparisons, it's tough, but think a thinner version of Kaleena with SIMILAR shooting prowess. Or maybe a shorter version of Elena. She shot 52% from the arc. She also got 10 boards per game.
Her shot does look a lot like Kaleena's. High pretty arc seems to take forever to the net, love it.

So who do you think will become the best player of this class ? (as per your last post, I assume you were talking about 2015) My personal picks are Williams in the 2014 class (providing, of course, that she fully recovers) and Collier in 2015. She is just a GREAT all around player.
