Migawd! Who might we have gotten if we were in, like, the SEC? Wonder Woman? Supergirl? Mary Marvel? Sheena, Queen of the Freakin Jungle? Mrs. Peel? The mind wobbles.

And the excitement just continues to build...not sure how much more of this I can take...but I think I can handle a bit more.

In my mind I am hearing a chorus of "LOUUUUU" from the Gampel And XL faithful.

Welcome to the center of the basketball universe Katie Lou!

Yes...I hope TonyC is healthily surviving this good news.

I'm going to make a few assumptions:

First, everyone who has committed actually shows up and sticks around. I'm not worried about this, despite the incredible accumulation of talent.

Second, I assume --and certainly hope--for good health. Of course, having loads of talent is a great insurance policy in case a player or two are out for the season or even a few key games.

Third, I assume that my guess at the 2015-16 starting lineup is correct (obviously it's debatable). Stewie and Moriah are locks. Morgan should be a lock. I'm putting Natalie at the starting center position, because she's the only true 5 and I think she'll be ready. At the other guard slot, I'm going with Kia Nurse based on her overall game and international success.

Ok, these are the players who come off the bench, in no particular order:

Lou and her stellar shooting.

Napheesa with her length wreaking havoc.

Gabby playing like Nykesha and Jewell.

De'Janae the human pogo stick.

Courtney nailing 3-pointers.

Saniya hitting treys and driving to the hoop.

Sadie orchestrating it all.

That's SEVEN quality players. Plus there's the possibility of Asia, Kalani, Arike, and/or Batouly.

Realistically, based on our experience and these numbers, a player or two may not be ready for prime time, but I'll be damned if any of these kids looks like the one. So that leads me to two thoughts:

First, we will be so deep that playing aggressive man-to-man or pressing other teams will be no problem. Second, the back-ups will want to show their mettle. I see little letdown in the second half, which results in the margin of victory record from 2002 being surpassed.

Fan: "You're up by 50. Put in your reserves."

Geno: "These are my reserves."

Fan: Silence.

I need some eye black to go with my Maui Jim's. :)

KLS is a straight up shooter she's not a post player at all, not a Stewie either but a very good shooter, Geno will push her to add to her game,

Ekmark and KLS are in the same lane,

Collier is in same lane with Tuck

Gabby is in her one lane

All these players regardless of what any of us think will have to prove it in practice and be able to prove it to Geno and CD, I still think the best player in the class will not be who most BYs think it will be, but it's a great recruiting class none the less

I wonder how the coaches at ND, UCLA, Kentucky, Stanford and Cincinnati Community College(inside joke) took the news.

I am going to go with a taller Anne Strother
Everything I've heard suggests that KLS is a little more willing (and ultimately a little better equipped) to go into the lane.

Well, we were treated to a preview of how Muffet took it at the FF. She surely had an inkling several weeks ago that two of her top targets -- Collier and Samuelson -- were headed to Storrs. This may explain some of her crankiness at the FF.

I just watched several videos of her. Her game, from the outside, reminds me of Annie Strother or Stewie. You look at how fast she gets her shot off - and the range she has (most of her 3's are at least a foot outside the 3-point line). But then I watched her highlights going inside.

First, she's equally comfortable dribbling going either to the left or the right. For a kid who's just a junior in HS, wow. Then I watched her lay the ball up into the basket with equal grace from both hands. Then I watched her post up, catch the ball in traffic while being double or triple teamed, and either take the ball up strong, or step back and fade away, making her shot. I realize that we love to compare players to other ones we've seen, especially so we as fans get an idea of what to expect, but her game is eerily similar to Stewies, minus the 7' wing span.

So we are getting a player who has the 3-point prowess of KML with the inside game of Stewie, and the intense defensive mindset of Kelly. I'm not saying defensively she's as good, but boy is she intense. Loved seeing the videos of her. She is going to be a fan favorite as soon as she gets to UCONN. In fact, she probably already is a fan favorite.

Folks on the orange board seem to think this hurts UCONN's chances with Durr. I think it increases them. Durr most likely wants to win NC's. I see KLS being able to play the 2,3 or 4 spots. I see Collier able to play the 3 and 4. Boykin able to play the 3, 4, and possibly 5. Butler is a pure 5. Then we have the quartet of guards from 2014, but while both Nurse and Edwards can play the 1, I think both are combo guards, and i see Williams and Ekmark as 2/3's.

Durr is a combo guard as well. but with her talent I could see starters down the road of Durr, Nurse, Samuelson, Collier and Butler. I don't think UCONN is after anyone at this point who is a pure PG like Jefferson, so we might have to just be "content" with a pair of combo guards like Durr and Nurse starting (similar to Doty and Hayes). I see no reason why anyone that UCONN has recruited would scare her away.

On the flip side, I do think this class (Butler specifically) decreases our chances of landing Brown. I'm not sure how hard Geno goes after her, but if not UCONN I hope she stays home and goes to LSU. UCONN really likes Tori McCoy, a post from 2016 (same class as Cox, Ionescu, Elmore, and Boley). There is also a terrific post 6'4" McCune from Kentucky. But those first 4 names are the only ones I've heard linked to UCONN so far, and Elmore only because she's from Connecticut...

Two seasons ago, when KLS was a sophomore and Geno was at one of her HS games KLS was elbowed/armbarred or shoved to the floor during the game. I looked at Geno's expression. KLS got up from the floor, on her own, and took the ball the next two times "to the hoop" for a basket, followed the next time by one of her patented three point shots. Watching Geno see how she handled that play I knew he loved her and was going to do his best to get her.
She can take the ball to the hoop and does. If the opponent decides to foul her she will beat you with her 90+% FT shooting.

Reminds me of the story of Stef - Geno was at one of her games, and she was knocked to the floor on one play. She got up as fast as she could and sprinted to the other end of the court to get involved in the defense. I bet Geno decided right then and there to offer her...

She'll probably be better as a senior in high school than Anne was as a senior in college (and Anne was a good player).

This kid looks pretty nasty.
