Friday (3/8) games

Sam Feurhing should have fouled in the third quarter jeeze she gets away with a lot.

Ark up 8 with about 80 seconds to go then a foul and a turnover. Now up 4 with 68 secs.

Nah. They were #12 on Monday. Can't see them falling 4+ spots based on 1 loss.

Yeah, I'm probably out to lunch. But 21-8 and lost to most of the good teams they played, I just don't see it. Swept by Mississippi St., hammered by Maryland and Baylor, UConn ran away from them after a red hot start for SC, lost to Oregon St. and Drake in Vancouver. I must be missing something.

Wow, 40 seconds left is awfully early to burn your final timeout. Neighbors rolling the dice a little.

Will Louisville be able to maintain its excellent run without Durr next season?

End of Iowa-Indiana is entertaining. Hawkeyes looked to be in some trouble but then regained control. Trading buckets now. Iowa up 63-59 w/ 1:17 left.

Wow!!

Signature win for Arky and Mike Neighbors. They played well, no doubt.

Great multi-year run in the SEC Tourney comes to an end for SC. Much respect.

With the Arkansas win does this keep TN out?

And now Ark vs Auburn or a Carter-less TAMU in the semis.
A trip to finals is not out of the question.

Could they play themselves on to the bubble?

If anyone wants to go to the SECT, I bet you can get a ticket real cheap about now.

Teams in the semis:
Miss St (6.5 hrs)
Mizzou (11.5 hrs)
Ark (12.5 hrs)

Gonna be some empty seats in Greenville on Sunday... Well more than originally anticipated

70-61 final Iowa. Another day at the office for Gustafson--30 points and 16 rebounds.

No. Even with this win Arkansas' resume is not as good as Tennessee's. This is the Razorbacks' only top 50 win at this moment.

I was always very impressed with what Neighbors was able to do at Washington - although all the media attention was on Plum, the whole team executed very well. Nice to seem him start to turn around what had been a deplorable Razorbacks program.
A reminder of how appallingly bad the hire of Jimmy Dykes was.

And how the Dykes era helped Miss State via Jordan Danberry’s transfer

If they beat A&M (not Auburn) to reach the final it might put them in the conversation, but I still doubt it. This is their only top 50 win at the moment. I really think Arkansas needs to win out for the auto bid.

But what ever happened to the "Finishing strong" part of the selection equation. TENN sure as hell didn't finish strong.

Yes it's considered, but not at the expense of the resume as a whole. Arkansas' RPI right now, even after beating SC, is #81, and this is their only top 50 win. Tennessee has 5 top 50 wins.
