This is nuts. Is he 100% sure he is talking about the right st. Joe's? Taelon is definitely a d1 level recruit, even if he has fallen off the rankings a bit.

This is great, he is not close to being eligible at D1 level academically. His talent are wasting away at Putnam. He has NBA athletism and will get great coaching. I always feels that he would be a top recruit if he had the oppertunity to go to a school like Putnam Science or Findlay academy where most of the students are basketball players. He will be playing professional one day- NBA or Europe. He needs to get out of Springfield and Putnam

Is this a kid UConn could scoop up in 2020? Do we want him?

So If he was qualified academically he would have been a big plus for us this year? Then he would have to sit out a year to transfer in to UCONN?

No, he slid a lot regardless.

Offers from UConn, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Rutgers, URI, UMass, Saint Bonaventure and LIU-Post. Good for him to taking a year to get acclimated to the college life and wish him nothing but the best.

A very smart man once said to me :
Walk through the library, you got all those smart students studying, is it really going to impact the academic reputation of the school if an athlete doesn’t?

We have Hurley now, we don't need to worry about recruiting D3, Plan G kids anymore

He did say that he wanted to play there for one year and then hopefully get more D1 offers. This is a smart move by him. Calhoun is strict and won’t tolerate bad grades if Taelon does poorly academically. He’ll be well coached and hopefully he plays well at USJ and gets offers from D1 teams. Anyone on this board shouldn’t be mad about this at all.

Is his slide related to on-court performance?
