Academic problems and such have kept him back. Could be a good platform for him still.

Certainly not a traditional path. But he'll get better coaching than a JUCO. Might be the first of his kind to do this

This is great, he is not close to being eligible at D1 level academically. His talent are wasting away at Putnam. He has NBA athletism and will get great coaching. I always feels that he would be a top recruit if he had the oppertunity to go to a school like Putnam Science or Findlay academy where most of the students are basketball players. He will be playing professional one day- NBA or Europe. He needs to get out of Springfield and Putnam

He did say that he wanted to play there for one year and then hopefully get more D1 offers. This is a smart move by him. Calhoun is strict and won’t tolerate bad grades if Taelon does poorly academically. He’ll be well coached and hopefully he plays well at USJ and gets offers from D1 teams. Anyone on this board shouldn’t be mad about this at all.
