No, he slid a lot regardless.So If he was qualified academically he would have been a big plus for us this year? Then he would have to sit out a year to transfer in to UCONN?

He did say that he wanted to play there for one year and then hopefully get more D1 offers. This is a smart move by him. Calhoun is strict and won’t tolerate bad grades if Taelon does poorly academically. He’ll be well coached and hopefully he plays well at USJ and gets offers from D1 teams.
