Tough news for the people in here that say "Danny doesn't develop guys". Happy for Rese and also great for the UConn program.
Tyrese definitely developed his game while at UConn. The one recent write up that I read spoke very highly of him in all aspects with the possible exception of shooting, yet he even shot a very good percentage from outside last year.Tough news for the people in here that say "Danny doesn't develop guys". maybe- I would love itCould see him developing into a Grant Williams type player on a good team.
Williams was the SEC Player of the Year twice. A pretty good college player. Not particularly - but similar body types. Rese more athletic & based on stats, seems to be a much better shooter coming out of school.

He's not built quite like Grant Williams. But he can be a very useful guy off the bench. The key for Tyrese is strength, athleticism (39 inch vertical is elite) and shooting. At his size he can handle 3-4 positions on the defensive end, which makes him really versatile and more valuable. His focus should be on defense.Williams was the SEC Player of the Year twice. Would love to see Tyrese in the league. NBA body, tough kid, humble demeanor. He would represent UConn well.Kids going to be on a roster at some point next year
And improving 3-pt shot. He does play some great defense even in these scrimmages. Also, he rebounds well for his size.Would love to see Tyrese in the league. NBA body, tough kid, humble demeanor. He would represent UConn well.
I don't really follow the NBA at all, but is there any chance he gets taken at the end of the 1st round to get a guaranteed contract? Christian Braun from KU is a projected 1st round pick in that 26-30 range by some analysts. Tyrese and Braun have almost identical stats (Tyrese is a better rebounder and 3pt shooter). I don't understand how one guy is a 1st rounder and the other is seen as an undrafted guy.
I doubt he'll sneak into the first round but I could definitely see him being a successful NBA player. Draymond Green was drafted in the second round and look where he is now. Just seems like Rese gets better and better every time he steps onto the court. His hunger and love for the game will take him a long way and make him a lot of $$I don't really follow the NBA at all, but is there any chance he gets taken at the end of the 1st round to get a guaranteed contract?
