Great game. Clayton is basically a Kemba/Shabazz/Newton type who just brings it. Props to him for showing huge stones down the stretch. Onto next year.

I’m with you. This “just happy we were able to compete and hang with Florida” stuff is garbage. Last four minutes were a microcosm of the season. AK with his reverse and Solo with his floater off glass both trying to avoid contact. Hurley had the right plan today. Players failed to execute, especially on the offensive end.

I thought that we played one of our best games of the season. Game plan and execution was wonderful until we tried to speed it up for no reason late in the game leading to the Ball turnover on the tough call out of bounds.

Shooting wasn’t great but defense and intensity was. Not our year but what a 3 year run it’s been. Let’s get ourselves a portal PG and get to work for 25-26.

Florida is a very good team. Best of luck to the gators the rest of the way.

If they played that way against Seton Hall we would never had to play this game. That makes them all important.

I think it's dumb to speculate if one game would have changed our seeding because this committee was all out of whack with its seeding. I'm almost positive we still would have been an 8.

Really lucky to catch Florida on an off day for 38 minutes. Still sad to see such low basketball IQ plays cost us a chance at a win. Nice to see McNeeley pad some stats in garbage time after not hitting a meaningful shot since Creighton. Hope that drags some of his draft stock back. Huge credit to Diarra and Johnson for playing so damn hard; would not have been close without those two. Now let's go grab some transfers so we can compete next year

Haven’t read the thread yet but what a damn good fight UConn put up today. Shots just didn’t fall for us.

Will Clayton Jr. is going to be in the NBA without a shred of doubt. Tough to take an L today but if this is our floor? My god I will be on the frontlines for Hurley until he exits the program, however that may be.

Story of our season...Gave away way too many games down the stretch. The missed AK layup with 3 minutes left was the absolute killer. Changed the entire momentum of the game after that. Thats who he is unfortunately. Just not clutch. Very disappointed with the game & the season.

The game was winnable if we made shots. Exactly who was recently shooting so well that you are surprised at their inability to make open shots? AK, McNeeley, and Ball had been cold for a good long stretch.

I’m gutted right now, but I loved seeing Samson play one of his best games to go out. Sadly it wasn’t the missed 3s that killed us. It was the missed layups. C’est la vie, I guess.

A very tough loss. We had this game. Had it. But Liam happened at a critical point and Hurley stayed with him.

And Florida had Clayton.

Yup. All American in the close out for sure.

It’s not like we had to have some unbelievable game to win , like in any game against a 1 seed you will have your opportunities but you need to capitalize on them. We had our opportunities up 4 multiple times, then up 6. Give Florida credit they capitalized off our mistakes.

We fought our hearts out, sad for our guys especially our seniors, but keep your heads up everyone, we’ll be back hungrier then ever.

Well everything except make shots. Just a bad shooting game instead of really bad and they win by double digits.

Proud of the effort but it hurts to come up a little short after being right there with a few minutes left.

All we had to do was shoot decent and we win comfortably. Frustrating end to a frustrating season. Excited to see what the current and future newcomers can do next year.

Thought Hurley coached a good game but wish we did something different during that five minute scoring drought down the stretch.

Not even decent, if you upgraded our shooting to terrible we would've won a blow out.
