Is the ball flying today or is Kersten serving up meatballs?
He had his moments. For him it is all about location, some batters he had great location on others he had trouble locating the ball and missing up. Had nothing to do with the ball flying out.

6 strikeouts for Gardner in the first 3 innings. He has been very sharp, we'll have to see how long he keeps that up.

He has been with the group that has gone to the pen mid game for both games of the series. He looks to be available to me.

Chris Jones definitely seems to think he will see action today. Wouldn't surprise me to see him as a bridge to Wallace/Poulin in the late innings in the second game.

Other news from Chris Jones that I wasn't able to post earlier as I was at the first game. Colby Dunlop seems likely to start the first game of the AAC tournament, which would allow Mason Feole to get more rest.

Thad Phillips still not quite ready to return. Almost sounds like his wrist has been day to day for the last week or so.

Anthony Prato has been nursing a left hand injury for the last month or so. With UConn pretty much feeling they have an at large bid sewed up for the NCAA tourney, the coaching staff giving him the second game off plus the time off before the ACC tournament to try to get it healed up.
