Fair enough. It was a good game and a fun finish.
I was thinking of Edney before the inbound, but I was thinking no way, that would be too story like.
They were afraid of the pass if they helped. But first rule of defense: stop the ball.
Our buddy, Aidan Mahaney is back in Hawaii since the Maui Invitational on ESPNU. I hope his time in Oahu is better than Maui. Will never forget how sad and despondent he looked after losing his starting job at the conclusion of the Memphis game.

A core memory I wish wasn’t there. I thought UConn was gonna win it all that year.
Absolute bogus call led to the win. Called a push-off on a flop when he was dislodging a guy draped all over him.

Same - not must see TV. Josh Jefferson is a nice do everything player, and their big 3 can shoot, but collectively not a very exciting team.
They've been pretty lousy on the road in B12 play, I could see them losing. Crushed by Kansas, lost at Cinci, at TCU.

Was a really well staged flop. I actually think the offensive player pushed too hard. As long as the defender isn't fouling him, he can drape all he wants. It looked pretty legit - he didn't have to shove to break off him.
Even in a meh season, there is not team I love see losing more than UK.

The drape is the foul lol. You can't have 2 hands on a guy like that, freedom of movement. Like you said in one of your posts, Joshua Jefferson is the former St. Mary's player UConn should have gotten. Having said that I am watching Aidan Mahaney on ESPNU and he looks like when he played at St. Mary's. He is the leading scorer so far in this game and he is very vocal. It's UCSB vs Hawaii.

Mahaney is a fine player when he's not going up against good athletes. He's actually having a nice year for UCSB, shooting 40% from 3.
