1 seed threats dropping like flies. Think it’s just ISU right now.

Don’t wanna hear about UF they have 3 Ws against teams currently ranked: #17 Bama, #22 Tenn, #25 Vandy

Mara is an issue, length and skill. Need to keep him away from the rim. Can we get a Johnson Jr type in the portal please?? Illinois must be thrilled they didn’t play him enough last year huh? Is that the reason, I’m not even sure? 2 solid teams but you have to beat good teams, we can!
 
Don’t know much about them but Illini bigs getting punked. Them winning would help our resume a bit it ain’t happening.

Michigan looked good and Illini looked bad. Too many unforced turnovers for Illinois and it got away from them. The athleticism disparity was pretty huge.

No. Even if Arizona sputters hard enough for us to pass them on the s-curve, we’d be assigned by geographic preference, and Houston is obviously closer to us than CA.

Our pursuit of a 1 is limited almost entirely to the South. Duke would have to flame out in an inconceivable way for us to pass them and get preference for the East. If Michigan somehow sputtered, and we were ahead of them on the s-curve, I suppose we’d take the Midwest instead of them? But that’s not super realistic so it’s not worth thinking about.
 
Pretty remarkable that in a week we've gone from the wheels coming off and hoping to hold onto a #2 seed (or at least not get screwed with one of the top #1s) to arguably having the inside track to the last #1 and being pretty safely in the top 5 overall seeds.

I mean, they're really really good. We know what their strengths are (ridiculous front court), but we know what their backcourt is (turnover prone, can be shut down). They won't be easy to beat, but they're beatable. The way I see it, from a roster perspective them and Duke are 1A, AZ is 1B, we are 1C and Florida is 1D. This is generally what all the predictive analytics are saying other than us being further back, but I think our coaching is what bumps us up.

We shall see. It's looking more and more like that grouping really has more than the rest of the field in winning 6 games. Most of the other teams have distinct flaws.

The thing about 4 of those teams is it feels like they will be hard to surprise beat in the tourney because they can simply outphysical you. Some team can come along and perhaps go on a three point spree, but it seems unlikely. To me, it feels like the year of the powerful front court.

Vegas still has Houston ahead of us, I don't see it. And tend to this our ceiling is similar to Arizona. Michigan and Duke simply have some stuff on their rosters that no one else does.

The fact Mick couldn't figure this kid out makes me question his coaching ability. Dudes like this are hard to come by and are massive difference makers. He ain't Clingan, but he brings a very similar advantage. I heard there was some tampering, but not sure how Underwood let Johnson walk. May has a freak at the 5, 4 and 3.

It's not that you talk about Michigan, it's what you say. Before the game yesterday you posted that nonsense tweet and said you've felt like something was off with Michigan. Then hours later after they beat Illinois you're back to glazing Michigan as the best team in the country again

Obviously they're trying to ensure that the top team represents them in the Tournament to give the best possible chance of an upset and more credits for the conference, but a 7 round tournament for a 14 team conference is insane.

It’s already been mentioned, but it’s truly incredible that less than 24 hours ago you decided something was wrong with Michigan based on a tweet from an account that literally exists to goof on terrible message board posters like yourself. Your response to that tweet was basically “yep, I always knew something was off with those guys”. And now here we are, back to “why can’t you homers objectively discuss how the really good teams are really good?” I hope you let science study your brain at some point.

It was a goof, good lord. I said let's see if it plays out. It didn't. The guy has 150K followers, so I shared it.
 
That's sorta their point, it was just yesterday. WTF really plays out in a day? Not much, you seem to be the king of knee jerk reactions. Captain kool-aid, flavor of the week and I'm a neutral Nova fan.

Pressure now on St.John’s.

Need to play 3 games to finish the season, all before UConn plays their last remaining game in Milwaukee.

A St. John’s loss to Villanova tonight and UConn gets the #1 BE seed and a minimum of a share of the regular season championship (even with a loss to Marquette).
 
I really hope to help and out tonight, but it'd probably be slightly easier if you didn't curb stomp them last game. Crap you guys lose to Creighton in ugly fashion the game before we play you, now St. John's is gonna be angry this game also. Why can't we get these games after you guys are fat and complacent? We need a signature win to get to a 6 seed.

A lot of really good teams this season but there's a substantial drop off from the few elite to the really good.
 
Vandy has dropped off quite a bit since early in the season when media was asking if Byington could pull off a Cignetti(both JMU coaches) this year in cbb.
