And before that he got a clutch shot hit in his face. It's not the finest sequence for him. I really want to see him and UCSB get to the NCAAT. I will be watching them in the BigWest tournament.Mahaney just got a technical and fouled out for an interaction with an opposing coach
Seton Hall had their best 3 point performance in the last ten years. We also missed 9 free throws. It could easily been a blowoutIt's demoralizing how so many of these other teams find another gear and just obilierate good teams and we are in the fight of our lives at home vs Seton Hall. It just shouldn't be happening as I think we are close to those top teams. Something is causing this discrepancy and I believe it is UConn's glacially slow paced offense.
He’s worried about whatever team is hot for the last few games. So far I’ve counted Michigan > Arizona > Duke > FloridaGive me Xavian Lee and Boogie Fland in an elite 8 to get to the final 4. That’s not a bad draw imo.
You’re going to have to beat someone good at that point. No point in ducking

Until one realizes, the ‘good team’ issue solves itself come tourney time.Agreed, I’m pretty demoralized right now.

🤔Learn to have a little fun with it rather than a stick up your dweeby kiester. My lord you must be some of the stiffest nerds on the planet.

Pretty crazy how much all these 2-3 seed teams are losing.Gonzaga loses again, no more top 10 for them
I’m convinced they’re a great team that’s dominating a league that doesn’t have an answer for their frontcourt. I think a lot of it is a stylistic advantage, because I sure as crap still don’t trust that backcourt. The Florida love fest is crazy. Their best wins recently are home to Kentucky and home to Bama. How is that significantly better than beating St. John’s home and at Nova lol
You may not trust them, but since the Tennessee game in early Jan, Fland and Lee have been good. These are good numbers. The Slovenian kid has been solid too. It's not an all star BC, but it may not have to be. UM does't have the best BC either. Haugh at the 3 is a major mismatch, not disimilar to Yaxel at the 3. Their issue is they don't shoot the 3 well. Golden has coached them up. Easily he best 2 seed right now - we likely see them in our region. If we get there, like it was said, you have to start beating good teams.I’m convinced they’re a great team that’s dominating a league that doesn’t have an answer for their frontcourt. To be fair, there was an almost 11hr lag between the end of the game and his comment. This is one of the most goldfish posts of all time.
This is true especially after the first round of the BET in 1999 when UConn squeaked out a 57-56 win against Seton Hall.1998-1999 would have killed some posters wth how demoralizing it was to watch UConn win close game after close game while Duke demolished teams.
We saw the good Florida back court. And still beat them. That’s not the 2 I’m worried aboutYou may not trust them, but since the Tennessee game in early Jan, Fland and Lee have been good. When did we see them? Had they ever played together before then much? How much time did they get to play together & with that roster and coach? I love a good flex, when it makes sense. This is counter to just about the whole country. We saw the good Florida back court. And still beat them. That’s not the 2 I’m worried about
I’d like to see Duke, Michigan, and Florida play against a defense like Seton Hall’s or SJ. I understand they all throttled teams this weekend but the teams they played or the conferences they play in don’t have teams who play defense like the Hall/SJ. I will say it now those teams are not as battle tested as we are. The only team that is equally battle tested as us is Arizona.Agreed, I’m pretty demoralized right now.
I think at this point Florida and ISU are a cut above the other 2-seed candidates so we may end up with ISU by default because they can't stick them in the West with Arizona (same conference). Illinois is next (dropped in the East to avoid Michigan) and then it's a pu pu platter of meh for the fourth 2-seed in the Midwest. Probably Houston.Eh - more worried about Florida TBH. I cannot see how you can f over a 1 seed by giving a 2 seed home games in the second weekend - doesn't sound right to me. The way it's playing out, decent chance we get Florida.
Not taking anything away from Duke. But the ACC is a joke. Virginia the 2nd best team? They lost to Butler.I’d like to see Duke, Michigan, and Florida play against a defense like Seton Hall’s or SJ. Lee was good but Fland was awful. We saw the good Florida back court. And still beat them. That’s not the 2 I’m worried about
We saw them on December 9th. Both teams hadn't played much together as it was early in the season with new rosters. Silas was very early in the process of trying to be a point guard here, he had 6 points and 1 assist. Braylon missed all that time and only played 11 minutes in the game. When did we see them? Point is a lot of changed since then. It was also a close game. I’d lean much more heavily on how a team is playing now versus months ago with new rosters. We saw them on December 9th. Despite you continuing to say this, that criteria factor no longer exists with the committee.Point is a lot of changed since then. It was also a close game. I’d lean much more heavily on how a team is playing now versus months ago with new rosters.
We lost by double figures to Georgia Tech in the early season in 2004.
