Favorite Somewhat Obscure Husky

I was a huuuuuuuuuuge Sarah Northway….. supporter

Didn’t know much about her, but she was a good looking gal! Looks like a law degree and now a UConn WVB daughter as well, true Husky!

This! That game at Syracuse the quote at the time was something like "He also drove the bus".
And there was talk that Brian Fair was going to play football at UConn once basketball was done. That never happened.

Probably more “very” obscure than “somewhat” but I worked with walk-on Jeff Cybart for a couple of years after college. Good dude.

Kirk King might be my fave UConn player ever
I loved Doug Wrenn although he was obviously clueless. He had tons of talent.
Toraino
Ryan Thompson - I felt like he legit added something when he played
Ajou Deng and Justin Brown - Both of them were tutored by a high school math teacher and I was able to "play" against them in HS. Both were incredibly nice guys, too.
Marcus Cox
Antonio Kellogg
Eric Cobb
Enosch Wolf
Apostolos will be a good player for Richmond

Kirk was one of my favorites as well. It is unfortunate that his career at UConn ended prematurely.

I worked at Dick's Sporting Goods parttime when they first opened in the mid 90s and both the Men's and Women's BB teams would come in often. Kirk was always very nice and unassuming. Pam was quite attractive and had a beautiful signature.

Ace is getting no mentions because no one (including me) knows how to spell his last name.;)

Didn’t Toraino Walker quit the team his senior year?

And yet some fans consider him a favorite obscure player?

Who is/was your favorite obscure Husky? Mine was Alvin “Skinner” Frederick. I had a cat named Skinner who used to hide from me in Skip Prosser’s bushes when Skip lived two houses away from me in Cincinnati. I guess you could tie in did you have a favorite pet named after a Husky as well.

The board is full of children these days. Now for we adults (read old farts / older than dirt), lets go back a few years. Like to Danny (the Spider) Hesford and Bill Della Salla.
I'm with you. there. The 60's were a great time for Husky fans.
