R.I.P. Ray Broxton 6'8" forward who averaged 13 pts his last year at UConn (84-85 season).
He was the 3rd leading rebounder in the Big East as a senior.I’ll throw in a Calhoun favorite when he became coach. Senior Gerry Beselink.
And a great guy, played softball with him for yearsJohn Thomas from Bogalusa, LA. One of best rebounders in husky history.
I’m not obscure.C'mon man

I mean, Ed Nelson brought us this:
This track alone is enough credentials needed for a Huskies of Honor nomination.
A lot of people loved RJ since he had so many ties in the area. He's a Connecticut guy who went to NFA, played 4 years at Holy Cross in Worcester and then coached at Nichols afterwards too.RJ Evans and I have no idea why.
Can a starter on a national championship team be 'obscure?'The correct answer is Roscoe Smith. No one ever wanted to hit a full court heave with 30 seconds on the clock more than that guy. Love him.
Which makes me wonder if we do have any former players here in The Boneyard. That would be cool.I’m not obscure.
I remember him saying his shooting range was "28 feet and in".Brian Buckelew…1981-82. Loved the chant…”Buckelew, Buckelew, Buckelew for 2!”
We called him viscous Johnny SelvieC'mon man

He's closer to a Husky of a honor than "obscure"Phil Gamble
True but his name rarely gets brought up that I’ve seen anyway. He's closer to a Husky of a honor than "obscure"
I firmly believe he belongs on the wall. He's closer to a Husky of a honor than "obscure"
The Richie Springs of yesteryear. There's only one right answer:
