Going back a ways, but Jeff Carr, and not too long after that there was “Microwave”.RJ Evans and I have no idea why.
I also was a Brian Fair fan I can recall when he was recruited he was known for his 3-point shooting. Wasn’t he a 4-star recruit as well?I was a big Brian Fair fan.
I was a huuuuuuuuuuge Sarah Northway….. supporterOn the women’s team I’d say Sarah Northway, on the men’s side Boo Willingham.
Yeah that was quite the story. RIPrip Ray. He definitely had the weirdest death. Trying to climb into his room (in chile?) and falling.
Her daughter is on the UConn volleyball team.I was a huuuuuuuuuuge Sarah Northway….. supporter
Al could be spectacular. A couple of buddies and I drove to Ohio State for the game when he was on the squad. UConn is down around 10 midway through the second half when Al beats his man for a slam. UConn makes a stop and it's Al with another nice move for a slam to make it 6. Next trip down court, Al with another move for a slam to make it 4 and we have ourselves a ball game! But wait, a late whistle for traveling. There was no travel, it was Big 10 refs saying "Enough of that". That's where I first learned about precision officiating.Who is/was your favorite obscure Husky? Mine was Alvin “Skinner” Frederick.
