OT: Fatts Russell in the transfer portal

We haven't reached out to him yet, did reach out to Seth Lundy from Penn State though
PSU‘s Lundy = gritty NJ kid, bad % shooter = Hurley reach out
PSU‘s Jones = big time scorer in B10, good % shooter, but not from NJ = Hurley not reach out

this trend is a little concerning. We have enough role, one-dimensional players.

We certainly need finesse over grit right now

I would like us to reach out to Jones but that classification is not at all accurate. Jones shot better from 3 but they shot almost identical FG% and Lundy was better on 2 point FG%. EFG% and TS% were slightly better for Lundy too

Lundy / Jones
FG%: 38.8% / 39.5%
2P%: 44.3% / 41.4%
3P%: 34.9% / 37.6%
eFG%: 49% / 48.8%
TS%: 52.4% / 52.1%

Some guys like Fatts some don’t. Guess it’s the same with Martin. Oh well I’m glad with the one we will have.

Given they won a title in which they beat Villanova—the Big East's best team that year—in Philadelphia by double digits even though Shabazz had to miss most of the first half, I think they'd have done just fine.

I think you're way underselling how good Boatright was.
It was in Buffalo

Stats. look comparable and Lundy is a wing who can rebound. Unless I am missing something, if both can shoot, but the other can get us rebounds too, wouldn't Lundy be the better prospect or better meet our needs?

What I don't know is if Jones is a penetrator who can kick the ball out? If so, that may swing it in his favor unless Hurley wants to offer both.

Actually Lundy is from Philly. He came out of Roman Catholic.

On Fatts Instagram he was just in CT, and now he’s in Allentown with Rese. It probably means zilch, but interesting none the less
