Can't wait for Ms. Patterson to dunk over her defender, hang on the rim for a split second, while staring her down and say,"Hoosier Mama."

Okay @CocoHusky what did I say that you didn't like? If you watch the tape Nika's not looking at Held when the bump was initiated and Held did have a different look when she saw E. coming over to get in between the two?Nika wasn't even looking at her she was going to the celebration and Held is the one that initiated the bump. Held had a different look on her face when she realized that Momma E saw the whole thing and was walking over to her, NOT Nika.
That will be a strategy to get her off the court.Late in the nd game it appeared there was deliberate attempt to be extra physical against Paige. That may be a strategy for teams to get her off her games. When that occurs we need a chippy (enforcer) type such as CD2.
She was initiating contact all night. Nika just wanted to rub some slime on her.Actually it wasn't Nika being Nika. It was Held being Held. Look at her right shoulder braced for impacting Nika. Nika celebrating and just look off Held. Held initiated the contact.
Better check the video again. Held walked directly at Nika, no surprise to her.Cmon now. Held was visibly surprised, Nika was expecting it and didn’t flinch after. If a non UConn player did that, you wouldn’t be celebrating it..
100% agree. Both players squared their shoulders, neither gave an inch. If Held were on our team, we'd be like "good for her". But she's not. We have Nika, so "good for her".Better check the video again. Held walked directly at Nika, no surprise to her.
LOL….good one Pacific. Can't wait for Ms. Patterson to dunk over her defender, hang on the rim for a split second, while staring her down and say,"Hoosier Mama."![]()

I agree with JellyBean. Rewatching the Slomo... IMO LexieThanks for the Slomo. Glad that E was there to have Nika's back.
I disagree - Nika wasn’t smart at all. She lets her emotions get the better of her sometimes. She may get herself chucked out of a game one day and that could potentially hurt the team.Nika was smart and kept walking away. Held looked like she wanted to escalate it until E started to quickly walk in her direction. Don't think you really want to mess with Momma E.
It was actually Nika just being Nika (1:10). E just tried to pacify the situation with Held.
Who is CD2?
Geno calls Evina E. It’s her nickname
Based on what? Has she ever mouthed off to a official, never that I've seen.I disagree - Nika wasn’t smart at all. She lets her emotions get the better of her sometimes. She may get herself chucked out of a game one day and that could potentially hurt the team.
Emotion, yes, but control it.
I guess you didn’t see her complaining about the foul calls in her first few games back. Geno must have told her to cool it because she’s been better. But bumping into the kid, or at least not avoiding the bump, is looking for trouble. It’s unnecessary.Based on what? Has she ever mouthed off to a official, never that I've seen.
Could have been avoided but Held was at fault. Give credit to Nika for not backing down and then walking away. Teams have to know that we aren't a bunch of panseys and we will not take their crap.I guess you didn’t see her complaining about the foul calls in her first few games back. What are we - 12 years old?Could have been avoided but Held was at fault. Give credit to Nika for not backing down and then walking away. Teams have to know that we aren't a bunch of panseys and we will not take their crap.
HuskyNan, I agree with a majority of you post(I'm not brown nosing) it's a well known fact tht the strategy tht teams use against Uconn is to bang, push and grab the players, particularly Paige, Nika, and Liv. The one thing tht a bully hates is whn someone stands their ground and pushes back, I feel Nika didn't change her course and neither did the DePaul player, no big deal, but I imagine Nika was kinda sayingWhat are we - 12 years old?
If a Notre Dame or Tennessee player did what Nika did, Boneyarders would be condemning her. The entire episode was unnecessary, Nika could have just gone around the kid and avoided the problem.
100 likes!C’mon! That was Nika’s “no look” bump. Her peripheral view is off the hinges!![]()
And when BYers just make up stuff...like what I saw today: C-Dub instead of Christyn. UFB.'Exactly. I'm tired of this initial only crap.
I see what you did there. SMH.UFB.
