It’s at a point where I almost feel bad for them..

Almost.

I think you could take a random BoneYarder, sit him on the bench, they do nothing and just let the players go out and play and get a better record than Payne.

The roster doesn't even seem that bad, decent players. Maybe the players can coach themselves to a better record....

I think if we compile a list of Payne's top 5 wins, you'd have some real good wins,

You really gotta wonder what they saw in Payne to keep him there after a 4-win season. It's not like he's got crazy credentials, he'd never even been a head coach before. I thought he had some head-scratching moments in press conferences last year too. Just seems bizarre to me.

I guess if you have a guy named Skyy Clark on your roster, you could only "go up" from here.

louisville is in the worst shape of any top 15 program and it's not even close. next up would be Cuse and Gtown but at least there's some optimism around their new hires.

Trying to rank these great moments in Lou sports history:

  • This
  • Kragthorpe as their FB coach
  • their NCAA title bring stripped
Hard to put something that happens so frequently as a top three moment. They lost to a D2 team in an exhibition game last year as well.

Leaving who is or isn’t a top 15 basketball program aside, Syracuse isn’t even a zillion miles from where UL is.

Honestly, even if you won like one less game, the costs savings between the Boneyarder coaching and Payne coaching more than makes up for it.

UL really has to consider this…so which one of us will it be?

They are in the ACC for football. Even in a conference founded on great college hoops it is all about football. That brings in the money.
For now, ACC isn't gonna make it either.
