What game was that when everyone was freaking out about Blaney playing Wolf and Olander at the same time? ....

Maybe he was onto something...

Fishy's idea about using all walk-ons may come to fruition at this point. Hopefully, Wolf will work hard this offseason and come in ready to contribute.

wolf got hurt and then out of shape. if u watch his old vids hes a athletic big but raw. he spent the last year getting back in shape and a minor injury. if he hits the weights now and the gym for some skills he is a serviceable backup center with potential. he is not the answer but he can fill minutes for us next year without hurting us. think chuck but with a better ceiling and way less fouls.

Your optimism is admirable.

I think Wolf's gonna be the next one here at UConn. We have a long off-season so he can work on his body to become the "the big bad Wolf".

If this board could show the Mandlelove, it surely could be Hungry for the Wolf! That beautiful up-and-under move I know I saw could happen again and again.

if wolf is our starting center this year, we are in some serious trouble.

I would much rather prefer the small lineup Bazz,Boat,Daniels,Scoe,Olander. Heck marquette competes with guys that size why can't we.

Well I've had this little gem in my back pocket for a while, it seems appropriate to resurrect it now.

While I agree kind of, I think we all need to look back at Andre and Alex and think about their defense. Killed on D? They certainly weren't defensive specialists and were always getting beat and quite honestly, Wolfie has a much better jumphook and can shoot it better than both!!! Hate to say we may be surprised at some things as long as he's in shape!!! Plus he stayed here, wants to be here so who better to root for???:)

Wolf has shown a pretty good feel for offense during the 25 seconds he's played in games. There is really no way to have much of an opinion about his game based on what he has done in those 25 seconds. The fact that he has only been in for 25 seconds is the biggest indicator that he has some liabilities, but it would have been difficult for any other center to get much time last year. It would be awesome if he could give us things we haven't seen for quite some time, like good interior passing, some kind of offensive threat, and maybe some good screens and better than we fear defense and rebounding.

The big risk is that he is just terminally slow, lacking lateral quickness, and will not be able to play at the speed level of the Big East. This seemed pretty much of a certainty when he came in overweight his first year, but I was a little hopeful when he had lost weight. The rumors that there was some attempt to encourage him to transfer was troublesome about his potential to contribute, but who knows if that was true.

Should be interesting.....

Absolutely right Dan agree with everything you said. Wolf will be solid and serviceable for us next year. Wolf has good basketball skills but is a little out of shape. Once he gets into the gym hard he will be very good for us especially since you cant teach 7'1.

My starting lineup for next year:

1: Boat
2: Omar Calhoun
3: Giffey
4: Roscoe
5: Wolf

Bench: Napier, Olander, Daniels, RJ Evans
