What about the silent commits? We have seven commits. Seven.

I get it, it’s easier to support a winning team. But it’s even more important to support it when it’s not.I will not go to another game. And I’ve had season tix on and off since 2000. I’m done.
There is a game next Saturday? I heard they decided to forfeit to save the expense.I guess that could be the only reason to show up to The Rent next Saturday.

I think Benedict is doing a good job. He got rid of Diaco. He got rid of Ollie. He got us a rock star basketball coach. Edsall is not a superstar. He is a builder. He'll can the DC 5 minutes after the season ends and start working on a replacement. They will get better. Once UCONN is a decent .500 team, Edsall will retire and the position will be more attractive to up and coming head football coaches.Good news? This season ends next week.
Bad news? Has David Benedict sat down and really established a vision for the type of athletic dept. he wants? I have never seen such epic suckage in UConn athletics as I have on Benedict's watch. Across many different programs.
Is it too much to ask to not be worst team the eyes have ever seen. Is asking for some semblance of competency unrealistic?I get it, it’s easier to support a winning team. But it’s even more important to support it when it’s not.
It's too early to fully judge Edsall's recruits. Lets not forget that players like Byron Jones, Scott Lutrus, Blidi, Gratz, Kendall Reyes all redshirted before playing, it takes time. Obviously we could make that redshirt list much bigger.
Just fire crocker and let one of the players call the defense.....can't get any worseI'm on record as saying that I think many of these freshman and some sophomores are going to be very good players in 2 years.
I'm also on record as asking why on earth we can't be remotely competent on defense with what we've currently got against the likes of Tulsa, ECU, etc. We are giving up record levels of points against horrible teams, seemingly with no for formational adjustments or improvement in techniques.
Something's gotta give here. The idea that the coaching staff has no accountability for another 2 years is laughable, and the season ticket holders are responding...

Well there goes the Dave Benedict is MIA theory. Another boneyard rumor proven to be bullcrap.

Here’s the thing that I can’t reconcile. Crocker had one of the best defenses in FCS. Did he become stupid all of a sudden? Did Andy Talley call all of defensive plays and Crocker just wore a headset? Has Edsall totally handcuffed him? All of the above? I don’t get it. Hate to make a change, because we have gone through so much leadership and scheme change. We need to invest in a someone that can coach and as important, RECRUIT.Just fire crocker and let one of the players call the defense.....can't get any worse

They have 30 RS Seniors on the roster - mostly JUCO. I think they graduate 35 kids this year. The way Bill Clark put the team together and resuscitated the program is impressive.
LOL you make it seem like JUCO is prison or something.

You can believe what Randy believes- but you cannot say it publicly. Have some tact. Good lord.
Temple, Pitt, Cuse, BC, Penn St... look at the seasons these schools are having. They aren’t losing to horrible teams by 30-40 points. If our recruiting territory is so barren, then how is Temple managing to find players who can compete and win in the AAC? They're essentially in the same recruiting territory we're in.
This is a team filled entirely of players with small hands. You simply cannot blame the Randy for that. They need time to grow bigger hands.I was a big Edsall guy, hated how he left, but was optimistic about his return.
The past two seasons have been disastrous and even the most pessimistic fans (self included) didn't see us being this bad.
I still think Edsall can turn the tide, but how much longer can we stand to be this inept?
And maybe just maybe, for once in his life Edsall could just say, "I haven't coached this team well enough". As opposed to blaming it on the kids out there getting embarrassed weekly.
I won't be holding my breath. This game was horrendous. We play well then just seems like team doesn’t care. I’m hoping next recruiting classes we see better
E
Exactly, blaming P and Diaco’s recruits would have more standing if Randy was recruiting well. Crocker recruited 6-7 defensive backs and you see the results.
You have got to stop saying that............................THEY ARE TAKING IT AS A CHALLENGE.Every week I say it can't get any worse... and then it does
NOT IN THIS CLIMATE...........................IT'S ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT.This program is in total shambles and will remain that way until people are held accountable
I've been giving this a lot of thought lately. Here's my two cents:
In many sports, some coaches are system coaches, requiring the appropriate personnel to carry out a scheme. Others fit schemes to what they have, with varying success.
I have little doubt that if we had two "lock down" corners, that Crocker would be able to do a great job. But then again, if we had two lock down corners, ANYONE would do a great job! We're paying the DC to do exactly that; to coordinate! Look at what you have and make it work better.
If Edsall is interfering, then it's in Crocker's best interest to make that known somehow. But at some point, he has to take responsibility for the worst NCAA defense of all time, and I don't want to hear about personnel when it's THIS bad...
