Lampkin refuted this! Might happen though.Lampkin was the guy Cooley had a zoom meeting with before their tournament game. That’s cold.

I mean, I know he was a Dookie, but it is still mean spirited to wish that on him.

That would be a hell of a location move.
Going from Tempe Arizona to Big River Saskatchewan

Yeah, but I have a gut feeling that when he does finally make his decision it will be Georgetown.Lampkin refuted this! Might happen though.

Someone in Cooley's camp likely called the kid and told him he has to make it look like this wasn't decided prior to Cooley officially accepting the Georgetown job.

Might have been?So Cooley may have been recruiting for GTown while coaching for and being paid by Providence. That's a bold strategy Cotton.
This should be a student giveaway for when they host GT next year. It’ll make getting drubbed by their former coach and half their former team a little more palatable.J
This should be a PC NIL staple item.
T-Shirts makes losing at home more palatable? I'll take your word for it.This should be a student giveaway for when they host GT next year. It’ll make getting drubbed by their former coach and half their former team a little more palatable.
No, why? I’m good. I get over losing quickly. Onward!
Lots of experience? No, why? I’m good. I get over losing quickly. Onward!
Because, in all seriousness, Cooley handled this really poorly, especially given his long-term relationship with the school and is public statements. He has the right to leave for better opportunities, of course, but the way this went down was pretty ugly. No, why? I’m good. I get over losing quickly. Onward!
In the old days of Providence, Ed and players who transfer out might have had unfortunate accidents.Cooley might have if Buddy Cianci was still mayor![]()
When it all comes out, and it will, you’ll see why I’m not taking any of this personally.Because, in all seriousness, Cooley handled this really poorly, especially given his long-term relationship with the school and is public statements. Anybody with a brain would have understood my joke. Then there was you.Lots of experience?
I know the backstory, or at least the one that is starting to circulate, it doesn’t change the way he handled leaving. That said, yours is the right attitude to have. I look forward to see who his replacement is. PC has a history of identifying and hiring some pretty good coaches. When it all comes out, and it will, you’ll see why I’m not taking any of this personally.

Ed Cooley on Twitter: "FRIARTOWN! What a ride this has been. We created something so special for this school and this city when no one believed we could. From 2011-2023 we turned this program into one of the most special men’s basketball programs in the country." / Twitter

It's comical what a phony this guy is, griftin' Ed is gonna love DC.Gotta respect the grift here. Just leaning right into it.
He's a good coach. They're a tough team. But they were never national contenders, or ever really close to it. Maybe last year? But once in 12 years is pretty thin to make him worth fighting a war over.I still can't get over the fact that all of this drama is about Ed Cooley. Ed Cooley.
He's...fine? Above replacement level, though not dramatically so. I understand the added element of him being totally full of crap. That, to borrow from Hitchens, if you gave him an enema he could be buried in a matchbox.
But it's just Ed Cooley. Ed Cooley!
