I suspect there were several issues that entered into the decision with the Thompson legacy comments bring the easiest to sell without causing even more pain and hate. At least Hurley is no longer the most hated coach.
We don’t have the minutes available
Ok, why the Pol Pot reference. Way out of deep left field.Ed Cooley takes a job for more money, which we usually call a good business decision..but apparently that makes him Pol Pot. The Yard
Providence should consider Yale's coach.
I like him and he will be a good 4 year player. We’re thinking high 4 star and 5 star now plus no minutes available. No taking him back, even before this week. Own your choices.
Not necessarilya winning one?
I have ZERO clue but suspect his wife had a big part in this decision??There a ton of posts from me about why I didn't think this would happen. End of the day it seems to be $ + a guy (and especially his wife) who have been in one place too long. Would be fine if he wasn't blowing smoke at everyone for the last few years. For everyone talking about chasing the spotlight, he will be vastly more anonymous in DC.
Love our adopted brothers in RIThere's a new thread on the PC Board called "Georgetown vs. Connecticut".
People chiming in on who they will root for in this game in the future.
So far, it's mostly "go UConn, destroy Georgetown"....

He also said Cooley wouldn’t leave Providence for GeorgetownGoodman says all the talk about Providence and NIL is baloney, they have competitive NIL.
UCONN Twitter was wrong thereGoodman says all the talk about Providence and NIL is baloney, they have competitive NIL.
A genius is born every day.
I think he talked about Cooley and Georgetown before anyone but he thought Cooley would get cold feet at the last second and stay in Providence. He also said Cooley wouldn’t leave Providence for Georgetown
Oh really? Ask Taylor Bowen about that. I mean even Creighton was able to pay Scheirman $500k.Goodman says all the talk about Providence and NIL is baloney, they have competitive NIL.
Cooley might have if Buddy Cianci was still mayorhe thought Cooley would get cold feet at the last second and stay in Providence.

That is a certification we all proudly wear on tbe BY.I adore that I was wrong.
I mean, I know he was a Dookie, but it is still mean spirited to wish that on him.Bobby would have been perfect for Syracuse.
Slimy move by Cooley. I hope Providence buries Georgetown next yearI suspect there were several issues that entered into the decision with the Thompson legacy comments bring the easiest to sell without causing even more pain and hate. At least Hurley is no longer the most hated coach.
That would be a hell of a location move.I mean, I know he was a Dookie, but it is still mean spirited to wish that on him.
