Respect to East Texas A&M - those kids played their butts off for 40 minutes.

But so did ours - Solid team effort all around. From the kids fighting for minutes to the starters, everyone played hard, albeit sloppy with poor shooting. We’re just bigger and stronger and better.

How great was it seeing Furphy hit that floater in the lane for his very first shot?

And we got to see the Turk!

Good games from Stewart and Reibe. Hopefully Reed is back for Florida, they have a ton of size. Want to see Silas get some confidence back, he doesn’t seem to look to shoot at all from the outside even when wide open.

On to the next, liked Mullins little run he had.

Reibe had a much better second half. He's normally so good at keeping the ball high but kept bringing it down in the first half and East Texas was all over him. Real nice to see him make the adjustment but will love when Reed gets back. He would have dominated that game.

UConn literally sleepwalked its way to a 25-point win against an overmatched team. Reed is coming back. The defense is there. The question mark remains - does this team have a reliable wing scorer night after night. Ball? Alex? Mullins?

Sloppy first half, cleaned up in the second. We tried getting the ball into Reibe with little success in the first half. He struggled to control the passes, or they were just off. We got out hustled at times while Texas shot well in stretches. Good to see the bench get solid and productive minutes. Balanced scoring seems to be the new norm for this team.
Hope we can figure out the strange passes to no one in particular. Are some players missing their spots?

Yeah, I thought Silas was known as a great 3 pt. shooter. I wonder if learning the offense has caused his game ot be a little off from last year. Still nice to see some nice drives from him and Smith.

I thought he played a very good game. He seems to be up and down from game to game. But today is exactly what he is capable of giving them more often.
Nice to see him with 7 rebounds. He really played hard and smart when in there. I love his assists. I still like to see him drive with the ball more as he can score doing that with his skillset.

I think the scorers even missed a couple of assists, but the one to Alex and especially the one to Solo were awesome. Also nice to see Solo passing the ball well tonight

Not surprising but not a great effort. More than enough to get the job done, but definitely looking forward.

3 point shooting - good lord - 25%? This was supposed to be a great three point shooting team and we have not really shot well from deep all year. Too many good shooters for that to happen which leads to my next point.

The motion on offense looks like something from ages ago. A lot of pounding the ball into the floor dribbling around. Where is the motion that was the talk of the town for several seasons. The cutting, screening, back screening, drop cuts, passes to passes with the ball never touching the floor, etc? What happened to that. That's what leads to great open shots. Doesn't look like a typical Hurley offense by any means.

Not to be too down - I'm sure things will get better, but hopefully they are refocused and on most cylinders on Tuesday.

Plenty of time to hone everything with a lot of talent everywhere.

You didn't notice our 50+ points in the paint? We had guys running free to the basket all night.
