I'm impressed with East Carolina. They play a far better game this year.
I agree. Yes UCONN is blowing some of these teams out, but I notice AAC teams are actually running offense, passing the ball, and trying to get open players good shots. Occasionally it works. UCONN plays terrific defense. But these teams are working had and improving. I think teams like UCF and ECU (maybe even SMU) will be fighting for NCAA bids in the next 3-4 years... add that to UCONN, USF, Tulane and Temple. This year Temple is 10-3, SMU is 10-4, Tulane is 10-4, USF is 11-1, and UCF is 10-4. They may have had "easy" schedules, but it's light years better than last season.
As of today, there would be 10 of the 11 teams in the conference eligible for post season play. Probably only 3 make the NCAA's and I'm not sure 7-7 Memphis would get a NIT bid, but there are lots of reasons to think the American is looking up...
