Duke Post Game Thread

Scheyer deserved to lose that game. What other big time coach intentionally fouls up 3 with 10 seconds left? That screams “I don’t trust my team”. Just watched the D00k presser and Scheyer literally said nothing about UConn. Not congrats on the comeback, just “we don’t deserve to lose the game like that”

I was literally in tears the last minute. Epic game and a classic.

So many small things of note in the methodical comeback.

Ultimately we hold super high standards and expectations for our team, and despite uneven play down the season, they've shown steadfast resiliency.

I’m extremely superstitious and can’t watch big games live
I watch the game play by play on Fox or ESPN which is nerve racking enough
Down 10 late I said what the heck and turned on the game just as Demery hit the three’s and it was game on .
It looked pretty bleak down 2 , 10 seconds to go and they have the ball
For some reason I felt it wasn’t over as they Duke looked a little shaky on a previous possession and I thought with pressure a TO was possible then only foul if you fail to to get it
Always make them try to beat .
When we got the TO and Mullins was wide open I knew that was money .
You don’t give Indiana boys wide open looks even from 25
But it was an incredible win I did scream a bit.
I see we’re already being written off by the experts as a sideshow with the main event on Saturday between AZ and Michigan . Sometime that alleged “real NC game “ only produces a runner up .
Because you have to play the games for real to determine who’s best .
Beating Duke is always special

Boozers inexperience prevailed on that last pass. All he had to do was hold on to the ball.

Clearly, but in that spot a lot of guys filp it ahead where there are two unguarded players. Holding it means free throws and a last possession. He puts that above the defender, even straight up, the clock runs out.

And some of you guys wanted to play St. John’s. This was glorious in ways a St. John’s game can never be. Just epic. Most incredible UConn moment since the Shot. There will be a “where were you?” thread about this moment.

Hats off to Tarris who was a warrior today. Put the team on his back. Silas with clutch 3s, and the tipped ball that lead to Mullins breaking the hearts of Dukies everywhere. Magical.
