Hurley & Co. just gave us the most majestic comeback in the history of this program next to the Tate George shot.

Danny gets his win over Duke in an all timer, further quelling his demons. AK gets to his third FF, this one he gets to really put his name on. Mullins, for all the heat he has taken, gets cemented into the lore. Wow.

Scheyer nets yet another WTF are you thinking coaching moment. We get to rent that much more space in the heads of Duke fans, rent free.

Good god, what a win. I didn't think there was a chance after that first half.

Tarris Reed played the game of his career, after playing the game of his career earlier in the tourney. He single handedly kept us in this one. I eat all sorts of crow with that kid, because this tournament run has been easily the best of any Uconn big, ever. He put us on his back in this one and carried us.

Yes it was him (Reed).. he was the only UConn rep on the all-region team.

What's educational about that (and other threads about this game) is that I saw complaints about Scheyer's coaching and disappointment that player A or player B made a bad crunch time decision, but no player was called out for being garbage or should never see the floor again and so on - which IMHO elevates their fans over the idiots who post vile stuff on our boards.

In a game of that significance, it's up there. Comebacks, I'm sure there have been bigger holes. There have been some crazier shots (Laettner ironically), but between the deficit and the shot, that one is up there.

Duke really froze late when they were deliberately trying to create mismatches on isos to Boozer. It was very slow and clumsy. We just backed off the screen waiting for it.
