Officially off the invite list to any alumni charity games

I suppose I'm not terribly surprised. His team sucks. The season has been bizarre and borderline a waste. He can always blame his departure on Covid. The NCAA is a garbage organization and I understand someone who wants nothing to do with it. So yeah, I can see someone just walking away from it all. Especially if you are going to be a millionaire in June.

You have to wonder if they will consider him apart of the “brotherhood”

hope bouk doesnt follow JJ's example for the sake of his draft stock as it would probably end up doing more harm than good

There is no “opting out.” That would require that he had an option. He did not. He quit. And he is a quitter.

Maybe he quit because it was in his personal interest, but people fulfill duties to others all the time that aren’t in their personal interests because they committed to do so.

Quitter
Quitters never prosper - we'll see
Once you quit something you find it easier to quit anything in the future - amazing how that is so true
However, one has to wonder if he would be looked at differently if he decided to stay with the team and save himself for the draft?

Amazed that one of the players quit on the season before Coach K did.
K has thrown in the towel - you can tell by his reactions in recent games - there's no fire in the belly there anymore.
