I have no idea why you would think that.

Well, maybe it's these posts???

Graduated with honors, you not at all. I never claimed to be part of the medical staff, but I know enough Medicine to hold the opinion I have. You on the other hand obviously need to attach me due to your lack of any medical knowledge. I don't know why she is out but nor do you!!!!!!

Hip is not knee and as far as decreased blood flow or a dangerous blood clot causing same she would have to be on bed rest and if bad enough blood thinners.

I'm happy you were able to share your medical expertise with all of us who have not attended med school. Oh wait; I did attend, graduate, and practice Medicine.

I think Tuck needs to take a lesson from KML's playbook unless you are injured drop an ibuprofen and play tough. You bruise your knee every time you fall on it, so don't let opponents push you down.

Yep, I'm convinced.

In a perfect world. However presently, Dolson is a much better passer than Stewart. And a lot of the offense (which Dolson knows better right now too) runs through that high post. As some have probably noticed, when the ball goes into Stewart either in the high or low post, that's pretty much were it stays. Which presently I don't find such a bad thing. As Stewart learns the offense more that may change some. Which will make UCONN even more dangerous.

Good points all Meyers...you are probably right...Geno is playing Stef at the high post because Stewie isn't on the same page with all the offensive sets yet which is indicated by the fact that she is pretty much a catch and shoot anywhere within 12 feet of the basket right now.

IIRC from various interviews with the Horde, GA has said he wants her to shoot and not distribute. I think he is emphasizing it a bit too much as she does look like she is shooting some shots out of rhythm or in a rush.

In the pre-season I was more excited about what she could/would do on defense and on the boards than on offense but I think Geno sees how talented she is and wants to push her on the offensive end as well. I do agree that she is not that comfortable with the sets yet, but supremely gifted players like Stewie (and Maya) just have a knack for freelancing sometimes....:). And of course it's early days.

The Boneyard is clearly on edge of late. The preseason expectations for this team in general, not including Tony C, was to get to a final Four and see what would happen there. So let the players' play, the coachs' coach and the fans sit back and enjoy the ride. It does not have to be perfect, so dont have those expectations for the players or the game itself.

Where Breanna is playing out of position right now is defense when she's on the floor with Dolson or Stokes. For the people that disagreed with me this summer that perimeter defense is harder to learn as a freshman than post defense, I hope you've been watching. She can't just stand in the middle of lane anymore and be 6'4", and the stress of playing defense and getting consistently beat has affected her play in my opinion. She's got to learn how to play it so she can be on the floor more, but it is a process. Freshman guards other than Kelly Faris are almost universally awful at perimeter defense no matter how athletic they are and they've grown up playing perimeter defense. Like with the high post Breanna has to learn it because she needs to be able to play with Stef and Kiah, but it is a process.
Missed this post yesterday. But very good analysis.

6-4, in general, is tough to play perimeter defense. And if we remember Banks and KML were anything but stellar in perimeter defense last year. Both have improve quite a bit this year. A lot of these HS AA's really didn't have to play defense in HS. Other than float around, steal the ball at will against inferior talent. But learning to play 1v1 against other good players is whole other concept for some of them. Along with the fact the UCONN defense involves lots of switching and help defense also. Either new concepts or at least levels above what they might have experienced in HS.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space.
Maybe, but we don't need to resort to name-calling. People need to settle down.

Thank you maybe you should send that message to Doggydaddy.

I reviewed this entire thread and maybe I missed it, but this was the closest thing I posted that was name calling

I reviewed this entire thread and kind of wish I'd missed it.

Some great basketball observations in here -- but in the bad company of an unfortunate personal tone following right from the blaming title and questionable thesis of the original post.

Game day. Let's put this sucker to bed.
