DePaul Post Game Thread

Ugly, sloppy, and frustrating first half. Mullins reminded us all of Mahaney, for most of the game. Solo might be the most important player on this team. When he’s not shooting, others are forced to step up. We grinded out another W. We probably stay at #5. We didn’t show enough to surpass Duke.
This was a terrible, terrible assessment, you gotta be trolling

Winning ugly is still winning. DePaul is improved and no league road game is easy.
Oh stop. DePaul stinks. Yeah. They improved from embarrassingly pitiful to just really bad. We went on a run in the last 2 minutes to make it look like a better win than it was. Play like this against an average team and it’s an L. This is the second game in a row against an over matched opponent where we were incredibly sloppy in the first 10 minutes. We can get away with it against the Butlers and DePauls of the world but it really needs to be corrected. Bad habit to get into.

Why Athletes Turn to Pickle Juice During Competition
It's not clear why pickle juice relieves cramps. Like traditional sports drinks, it contains high concentrations of sodium, which athletes lose when they sweat, and potassium, an electrolyte. But studies have suggested pickle juice actually provokes a neurological reflex that prevents muscles from cramping. "There are a lot of athletes that swear by it—they don't care exactly how it's working," says U.S. Olympic Committee senior sport dietician Alicia Glass. "As evidence-based practitioners, we would like to know exactly what it is before we start recommending it."

Tiafoe isn't the only athlete quaffing pickle juice during competition. New Jersey Devils winger Blake Coleman started drinking it at Miami (Ohio), and he's continued guzzling it in the NHL. He readies two eight-ounce bottles of P20 pickle juice—his own signature line—before every game. "Gatorades, electrolyte packets—I've tried it all," he says. "Pickle juice is the one thing that allows me to not cramp through an entire game..."

It's also great when you have heart burn/indigestion. A few tablespoons of pickle juice relieves it in minutes. We always keep pickle juice in jars when we've consumed all the pickles in our fridge.

Maybe a weird observation, but that was the clearest vomit I've ever seen.
As Hurley headed back to wherever Demary escaped, it looked like he took a look at the floor where Silas barfed. Like most people, Hurley must have wondered WTF caused the power liquid projectile.

You should just put a perpetual /s under all of your posts. Might help everyone better understand your posts.
So is he just being sarcastic or is he a Debbie Downer? I only saw his post because I was on a different computer and not signed in. I have been blocking his posts for quite a while now apparently. Also, tonight I discovered freescooter is still posting. Freescooter has to be a duke or kentucky or kansas fan. If he ain't then he must be a control in a psych experiment in social media.

Horrible first 10 minutes, but played well after that. I admire Demary for toughing out vomitting on the court and coming back to play. Great game by Karaban.
several women's team have been out...ducharme was vomiting the other night...time to sanitize every surface of werth...

So, remember when one of the talking heads (Rothstein, maybe?) came up with the horrible nickname "The Virus" for Silas? As a huge fan of "The Warriors," that got me thinking of Cyrus, which wouldn't be a horrible nickname. (Can you dig it! Can you dig it! CAN YOU DIG IT!) Anyway, that got me searching YouTube for Cyrus scenes from the movie, and that lead me to this, which made me laugh harder than I have in awhile. (NSFW. Stay with it.)

My lord, what’s gonna happen when we match up against some Top 20 KenPom competition? Guess we’ll just have to fret and wait and hope for the best…

Agree. I would be shocked if we did not move up. If it were any other team, it would be a lock. With anti-UConn and pro-Duke bias though there’s a chance.
I don't think the pro-Duke bias is what it once was, nor the disrespect for UConn (consecutive nattys will do that). There will absolutely be some writers that keep Duke over us, but I think most will put us ahead.

.-.
Our offense is struggling. Our defense is carrying us. #4 defense in Kenpom and 23rd offense.
Really not too much to fret about…the difference between 23rd and Top 10 offense is literally scoring 3.5 more pts per 100 possessions. That’s being more efficient and making a shot or FTs on a couple possessions a game.

We’re gonna get there, I have no doubts
