DePaul Post Game Thread

.-.
Was there in person. Typically called big East game with fouls sort of even. DePaul guards were bumping and pulling Silas and Mal. Mullins getting bumped off his routes. Alex was able to fight through that for the most part.
2nd half running higher actions opened the back door.
Late when Mullins was able to get a half step on his defender he made some shots.
He fouled but mostly stayed in front of his man and switched well.

You think AP voters are watching how we won? They’ll see we covered and Duke lost. We’re moving up.
Agree. I would be shocked if we did not move up. If it were any other team, it would be a lock. With anti-UConn and pro-Duke bias though there’s a chance.

Karaban was poised and in control all game. A quiet 21 from the senior leader

Silas had an amazing game. Filled up the stat sheet (13/8/7) and played great perimeter defense. Him being aggressive and making the right play will be crucial for late season success

Tarris had a handful of questionable decisions but still ended with 14/11/4ast/3blk and also played great defense. He forces it a lot when it isn’t there, if/when that gets cleaned up, then look out. I can’t wait for the Tarris/Zuby matchup!

Lol Braylon. Was invisible all game, then grabs a clutch o-board over a 7’2 dude and nails back to back threes. He really struggled running Solo’s plays, but when the coldest guy on the court can light you up at any given time, you’re in a good spot as a team

Ups and downs but overall nearly a 20 point road win without our top scorer. LETS GO HUSKIES
Mullins also stepped out of bounds while making a 3 pointer.

You should just put a perpetual /s under all of your posts. Might help everyone better understand your posts.
I find it funny that people haven't figured out his schtick yet and respond as if it's a serious post.

I can't decide if he's just a Duke troll or a UConn fan who likes to say silly stuff regarding UConn/Duke for reactions.

We are athletic and deep and so strong defensively this is a game we just wear the other team down and own the last 10 minutes. Not many teams have what it takes to handle our constant movement on offense and intensity on defense for 40 minutes.
I'd expect this to happen a lot in the BE. Other teams comes out guns blazing, we just wear them down. 15-20 point win.

Don’t like going up against the NFL. Actually don’t watch much football but as a Steelers fan, had to keep switching between games

Respectfully, One of the more ridiculous things I’ve heard on this board in a while and that’s really saying something. I say this with peace and love.
Most of his posts are sarcastic. Some how he thinks it's funny but that is his schtick.

Get serious
Have seen Millender play little or none. Small sample looks interesting. What are his drawbacks that you have seen in game situations? Obviously the staff would play him if warranted. Just curious as to what our more knowledgeable fans have to say.

Good to see a competitive team in Chi Town. It's been a long time. Coach has them fired up and they punched us in the mouth in the first half. Then we decided to settle down. I like seeing us in hard fought games. It will make us better down the road when tougher opponents show up. Danny's keeping his cool and the depth is very reassuring. We've got a lot of talent. Seeing more maturity from Jayden and Jalen. Overall a really good showing up to the holiday break. Overcoming a lot of changes for the new guys, injuries and they are looking more and more like a team. Picking each other up coming off the bench. Uconn has done the impossible for me. Turned the darkest, coldest part of the year into a continuous joyful and exciting legacy of winning at the highest level for decades. When each season ends it just in time for spring, summer and fall.
