I’m wondering if the ‘uninspired’ play on Aayliah’s part is due to the appearance of Juhász’s through the transfer portal?
Reducing her minutes and limiting her opportunity to start?
The upward trajectory in her development has lessened dramatically.
I know she’s got it in her.

1 why is this in the recruiting thread
2 Edwards started at the beginning of the year only the last 2 she did not start
3. less minutes is what you keep talking about with the early depth of the bench

Why would that bother her? She was the starter at the start of the season. Dorka would have limited minutes if AE played well.

So where does JJ play?

How good is this player, and what position does she play? Has UConn offered her a scholarship?

Very very good she would probably be among 10 best players in NCAA WB. She is 6'2" plays PG on her National Team, SF and SG for Tony Parker's professional club team in France. Unknown if she will eventually play college basketball but she cannot go to the WNBA until she is 22 because she is American Born. Unknown if UCONN has offered her a scholarship. She is only 16 years old.

If I recall correctly, the starting 5 was the same that ended last year.
Aayliah first off bench for any big substitution.
And that situation did not last long.
Dorka now in before Aayliah.

the end of the year was PB, EW, CW, ONO and AE

Don't think College is a part of her future based on this video.

Yes, you see no interest in college ball in her. She's contemplating "full time" professional in France next year. Very poised, very selfassured.

More detailed stats from Toomey's game on 12/23.

Toomey was named the Times-Tribune athlete of the week for that performance.

The 6-foot-4 junior scored 27 points on 13-of-15 shooting for the top-ranked Lady Bucks, and added four rebounds, four blocks and four assists.
OMG, she is 6-4! Merry Christmas, Gus!

12/27

Britt Price line in full: 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals

Roison Grandberry: 10 points, 13 rebounds

To add to what Coco said, some think she is the best player in the world in her year/age group. She just turned 16 last month. In contrast, Azzi turned 19 last month. Juste began playing on the Lithuanian Senior National Team at age 13. She's playing as an amateur in a pro league on a Tony Parker team. How good is she? Really, really, really, really good.

I've seen quite a bit of video of KK and I agree. She's a terrific young lady. "Joyous" is the best way to put it and she's in her element. This girl LOVES playing basketball. It's great to hear that she's a good defender also. I think she's an under rated find. She has a good pull up jumper and a great handle. Continued work on the 3 pointers will be a plus and she leads her team in rebounding as a point guard? She's 5' 10" now which is decent size.

She's maybe 5-7. No way she's 5-10.

KK Arnold hit the game-winning runner off glass with 7 seconds to go.

Arnold: 25 points (11-20 FG, 3-6 FT), 12 rebounds, 5 assists

Catch the after game interview where KK's niece and nephew are brought in to the interview with her whole team standing as a backfrop So sweet. They are adorable.

And KK shouts out UConn Nation at the end

Any news on Toby Fournier, 2024 from Crestwood Prep in Canada? She's impressive, beyond her dunking ability.

Kids can grow. Alexa Phillipou of the Hartford Courant is a good reporter and it's right there in the article. Maybe she's closer to 5' 9" but she has probably grown. We forget she still has a year left of high school next year. She comes in after Ice and Ayanna doesn't she?

Yes, Arnold's in the '23 class.

Phillipou probably gets 5-10 from KK's team page, but there's no way. Paige is supposedly 5-10 and she's much taller than Arnold. KK is listed at 5-6, 5-8, and 5-9 at three of the scouting outlets. It's certainly possible she's gotten taller but she used to be a half pint.

From Prospects Nation:

Kate Koval – 6-5 – 2024 - Long Island Lutheran

Koval was fantastic in my first evaluation of her game. She has legitimate elite level length in the post.

Jordan Lee

Lee flew across the country set to prove that she belongs in the elite category of backcourt players in her class. After watching her go off two days in a row coupled with my July evals, there is no doubt that she belongs.

Isn’t there an unwritten agreement that if there is to be a discussion about heights, it must be in Hartley units? ;)

based on that last video, no way KK is 5-10, even with shoes on :)

Wasn’t sure if we would hit the transfer portal but seems as though we will be on the hunt for a guard. I get that from seeing that Morgan Valley has recently followed Alyza Winston a Michigan St guard who is in the transfer portal.

Paige is listed at 5' 11" on the Uconn women's basketball roster page and I've seen her listed at 6' elsewhere. There is a little skew on different sites.

I watched most of the game you posted above. (thanks) I could buy 5'8 but that's where I top out for now.
